Greater than one weekMy cat would never let me brush him until I got the Furminator today. I tried it on him as soon as I opened the package, and he actually loved getting brushed. It took out so much hair! He has been having hairball problems lately, so that is why I bought the Furminator. After reading the other reviews, I thought this might be just what we needed. I think it will do the trick.

> 3 dayThis is the greatest tool/gadget ever! I hold a paper towel in one hand and the furminator in the other. I make one long pass over the fur, instantly have a full load of it, then pull it off with the paper towel. Back and forth. Easy peasy. It is AMAZING how much comes out!! I’ve definitely noticed less fur around the house. I have 4 cats, and 3 of the 4 love it; the female isn’t enamored, even with the smaller size I ordered for her, but I sneak in some swipes when I can. It’s also amazing how much better the cats’ coats look when I’m done. Five stars for sure.

Greater than one weekI absolutely LOVE the product but I HATE that there is no vacuum attachment - my cats light fur goes EV.ERY.WHERE!

> 3 dayMy cat has had a problem with loose hair, Ive tried different brushes and they do get some hair, but the loose hair is always there. I thought I was getting a decent amount of hair until I got this product. Just one brush stroke with this and I was literally getting so much hair, I ended up getting probably the most hair in one session in a little amount of time. My cats hair feels noticeably different so I am looking forward to the results when I do this more consistently, am glad I got this purchase.

> 3 dayThis was recommended to me by a friend who was a Vet after I complained about how much hair my cat was shedding, despite constant brushing. This brush is truly amazing in the quantity it removes, and my five-year-old cat seems to enjoy it. She gets tired after awhile of the grooming, but no more fighting with her to groom!

> 3 dayMy sweet cat Dante is a huge shedder even as a short hair. Id been using a bog standard cat brush to brush him every morning and it would not pick up a lot at all - even though every time we pet him wed come away with a handful of loose hair. Finally got this brush and ohhhh my gosh the amount of hair that comes off of him is UNREAL! Its like a whole nother cat coming out of his undercoat! Pretty gross but very satisfying both for me and Dante. Highly recommend grabbing a plastic bag and a pair of gloves before using this brush if you have a shedder like Dante just to keep the mess under control. Dantes always liked being brushed, it took him a little bit to get used to this one but now hes wild for it, purrs up a storm every time. I dont really use the feature thats supposed to get the fur off of the brush with a click, with the amount of fur I take off of him in just a couple strokes I find it easier to just remove it from the brush with my (gloved) hand and put it in the plastic bag. Ive already noticed a slight difference in loose hair around the house/in Dantes usual spots, hopefully with time itll get even better.

07-11-2024I hesitated to buy one of these thinking any brush is a brush is a brush. But my current cat sheds badly - the worst shedding cat Ive ever had, but that isnt her fault. Over the years Ive used a wire brush and a soft brush from Walmart on her and basically had to brush her three or four times a day. Well, I finally broke down and got the FURminator after several friends spoke highly of it. And WOW, what a difference. It gets down to the undercoat where she was shedding from. I can brush her for about 10 minutes every other day with this and she is happy. It works very well. Now, I still brush her with the old brushes for a touch up and if you arent careful you can overuse the FURminator and cause a bald spot. Dont do that. Follow the included instructions. But if you have a cat that sheds primarily from the undercoat, you NEED one of these. It is built well and should last a lifetime if not dropped on hard surfaces.
