FURminator deShedding Tool for Medium/Large Cats, Short Hair, Removes Loose Hair from Shedding

> 3 dayWe adopted a small 10lb cat who sheds A LOT - like, fur visibly flying off of her at all times. I wanted a de-shedding tool to get out some of the loose undercoat and got this Furminator sized for Medium/Large Cats. It feels pleasantly heavy and sturdy and the shaped grips feels nice in the hand. Importantly, our cat doesnt mind us using it at all, especially if shes already relaxing. She doesnt like certain types of other brushes weve tried, but she does like this one. I think the short teeth act more like a rake than a brush so it doesnt feel as overstimulating as other brushes can. It pulls up a really good amount of the loose undercoat, and I rarely see any of her top coat getting pulled by it. She has a light grey, soft and fluffy undercoat with a darker top coat so its easy to tell the difference. I use this once or twice a week as long as shell let me use it, or more frequently for just a few brushes. Its important not to use de-shedding tools like this often (and only use them on cats with undercoats) as you can risk pulling up the top coat, too, if used too frequently. If I start to see top coat hairs being pulled I wont use it again for another few days. The ejector button doesnt really do anything, if youre curious about that feature. It slides a silicone piece forward along the metal rake but it doesnt actually push the hair off, so you still have to pull it out yourself. Luckily no big deal.

> 3 dayPhoto doesn’t do it justice. Used on 2 short hair cats. Ages 1 and 18. This is the best tool. Removed enough fur to create another cat. No other brush has worked this well on short hair. It just didn’t grab and stick to other brushes and combs. Closest I came was a lint brush. lol Wroked especially well on my 18 y/o kitty who is arthritic with CKD. I was able to remove more hair in less brush strokes. Helps because she doesn’t groom like she used to. Recommended to everyone.

> 3 dayIf you’re on the fence, go ahead and buy this brush! I adopted a cat a year ago and have been resisting getting this brush because of the price. Plot twist, I ended up paying more trying out multiple other brushes! Don’t waste your time and money on others, buy this brush and be done with it. (Not to mention my cat enjoyed the brushing.) If you look at the photo, this was only two days after brushing her with a normal slicker brush. This much hair was still on her!!

> 3 dayI cannot believe how much hair came off of our cat— that we just brushed with the $5 bush from any pet store. We are sold.

> 3 dayLove this! I am not one to do reviews but this deserves one. Best cat brush ever. Best to use outside if possible as you will get TONS of hair off your cat in just a few brushes. Best product ever for my cat.

> 3 dayWe got this because our cat was having issues passing hairballs. There is a night and day difference to this and other brushes. I was a little skeptical of the price, but it is definitely worth it. Would highly recommend.

> 3 dayThis brush seriously does exactly what is advertised. We have two cats that are shedding a lot because it’s summer, and it’s driving us crazy. This brush immediately took off all the loose hair that other brushes could not get. It’s crazy how effective this brush is. Our cats also love it, its not too scratchy for them at all!
