> 3 dayWe run an animal rescue whose focus is rescuing chickens from abuse and neglect. Keeping the coops cool during heat waves has been very difficult over the years as A/Cs wont fit in the coop windows even though they are fairly large, and also the electricity to power so many A/Cs is not available or feasible for us. We bought several of these fans, and they really are genius - - they are quiet, produce a really strong stream of cooling air, and what is amazing is they run on high for 15+ hours on one charge (most of them seem to run for 20+ hours on a strong/high speed.) They are light so we literally bungee them straight to the protective window-grates - and even though they are under a big overhang, they also are water-proof so we dont worry about them getting a little rained on. They have given us incredible peace of mind to know all of the feathered residents are getting great air and ventilation no matter the temperature. Highly recommend these - used them all this summer and they work like a charm. Highly recommended.

> 3 dayI have only used it for a couple of days, but the fan charges pretty fast, has a pretty good battery life (2 full nights sleep on medium high), is pretty quiet and blows pretty strongly for its size. The best feature is the mobility. I can take it on the porch or in the garden without a cord. We plan to use it for camping and its nice to have a cord or batter option. The one thing I would change is the lights. There are 3 lights that indicate battery percentage and they remain on even when the fan is blowing. They are pretty bright in a dark room. I would have preferred that they turn on briefly when turning the fan on/off instead of staying on indefinitely. I may need to put some tape over them to get a dark night of sleep.

> 3 dayI expected a fan that was totally battery operated. You must have heard of hurricane Ian that devastated an area just 70 miles south of my home. We were without power for 5 days. A battery operated fan would have helped a lot since there was no power within a radius of 25 miles to re charge the fan

Greater than one weekI like this fan, because it is portable and it is battery operated and it worked very well for the very few times that I used it. However, one evening I needed it to keep Cool and I asked my son to go and get it and he said it up and turned it on. I left and forgot that it was on and by the time I got back the next day the battery was dead I have checked the power supply with my VOM and it is putting out the proper voltage. I plug it up to the fan and it will not charge or do anything and I have left it on for two days. There are no power indicators that it is charging other than sometimes the display light will come on the first position, but never provide any charging or power to the fan , I asked Geek Aire to replace it under warranty. Since this is sort of my line of work, I provided them with everything they needed upfront. However, they sent back wanting it put on the form. I took the information that I sent them that was all complete and transcribed it over to the form. It was sent in and I had already provided them all the details of what was wrong they wanted to know again and they wanted pictures. I provided them with everything they asked for an electronics technician. There’s electronic failure with inside the box. The power supply is good. I did not open it up as not to void warranty . Finally, after playing the game of paperwork they finally approved it for replacement. I have been literally waiting several months now for a replacement rather than just send me a new fan which they should do since this one is in pristine condition they’re probably waiting for a refurbished to come back in to send to me After constantly asking them, like most companies do these days they generate a tracking number, which is about as good as a three dollar bill. That doesn’t generate any. Hope it doesn’t make me feel like it’s coming tomorrow. I’m wise to this and so should you if you’re reading this because all of these companies are doing it, eBay, etc. that tracking number hasn’t moved in inch in over a month . It just says that the United States Postal Service is awaiting delivery. It doesn’t calm me down it makes me more upset. I will say that the geek aire team has been good about responding to me and promising me that the warehouse is going to do something soon. They just tell me to be patient and that would be OK if we were talking about a few weeks here but we’re talking at least three months now since the fan went out, I’m tired of waiting ! When the fan works it works beautifully and is very nice so I give them credit. I’m just not happy with how well replacement is. I have to get my replacement fan soon. I trust that they will. It’s just taking too long. Obviously they know that they have new ones in stock that they could send. However, I suppose if they have more fans going out than we are aware of and depleting their selling stock, well, I could see that catastrophe too. Come on geek aire and do something.. Update: they ended up telling me that they cannot replace the fan, but they would provide a refund. When I inquired when that would happen, all communications ceased very disappointing.

> 3 dayIve owned this unit for 2 years. Ive charged it fully and drained it fully about 20 times. Ive always left the battery at full charge when not in use . Recently I went to charge the unit from being flat after it only been flat for a day and the unit will no longer turn on or charge. Now it is a $90 paperweight. The unit is built out of metal which allowed it to push plenty of air. While it was working the only complaint I had was that moving the position of the fan in relation to the stand would sometimes cause the holding bolts to disconnect. At full power the fan would last about 3 hours. At half power about 8 hours, and it 30% power it would last a full 24 hours as advertised. I figured that once the battery failed to charge I could still use this fan as a plug-in. I was wrong. I think Ill take it apart and see what makes it tick, now it is no longer working.

> 3 dayGot this for a hot summer camp out with the kid. Didnt have them when I was younger but global warming and all that. Decent air output and bot much noise. I would recommend if you want a breeze.

> 3 dayOverall, a nice fan with very high airflow. CONS: - Battery is a bit lacking. Only lasted ~4.5hrs on a full charge on high. I would expect about double that on medium, but I havent tested it yet. - While the stand isnt huge, I feel like it could have been smaller, or foldable for this price point. - The knobs to set the angle seem a bit weak and likely to crack over time (thin walled ABS, probably no UV stabilizer). And God help you if you accidentally unscrew one all the way! You practically have to take the whole thing apart just to get the knob back on since the screw holding it falls into the fan cage. - Must be charged via a 12V barrel jack, a USB powerpak wont cut it. PROS: - Very high airflow - BLDC is good quality and I expect it to last for a long time - No bearing noise (although there is some blade noise at higher speeds, but not much) - Seems like the IPX4 rating is appropriate, this thing should last awhile when doing drive-and-tent camping TL;DR - Overall, pretty good. High airflow, but low battery life at max speed. Stand is the weakest part of the whole design. Its obvious the costs went into the battery, motor, and electronics rather than the stand. Which is a good thing.

> 3 dayLove this fan, its super easy to use.. basiclly its completely self contained, and ultra portable. runs for hours on a full charge. Build is great, beautifully finished with no sharp corners or edges. Super quiet, Im really impressed. Couple small items, There is a external charger, if I had a choice, I wish it would be part of the unit and instead have a couple legs to push a extention cable onto, I have seen that solution in other items lately that ship without any cable at all. Better shielding of the motor, my QUEST headset tend to drop WiFi connection if the fan is running at full speed, manufacture need to make sure to wrap the Motor with grounded tin-foil to avoid noise affecting the WiFi ;-) but really only a problem with fan at full speed. and when fan is in between WiFi hotspot and laptop or headset

> 3 dayI Brought this on a 5 week, 8500 mile cross country road trip where every night or other night was in a different hotel. Having a portable fan in my face at night is helpful for sleep, and this thing really did the job. On a medium speed setting the battery always lasted the entire night, and the 12” size was perfect for setting up anywhere. The housing construction is solid, this is not a piece of crap. Looking forward to using it outside next Spring to help keeps the bugs away.
