Would have given five stars as the overall terrarium is very nice but the front lower glass seems to have been cut a bit small and theres silicone applied to the outside of that piece kind of ruining the aesthetic. Otherwise very pleased with it.

I bought this as an upgrade to the 1.5 gallon cylinder thank I had been using to house common garden (globose dome) snails. The tank arrived well wrapped and undamaged. Opening the front doors and removing the top made wiping down the tank and setting it up very easy. The doors fit together nicely, with no gap between them and lock securely using the locking latch beneath the handles. The screen top also attaches securely, using four rotating lock mechanisms. There are two vent bars on top, behind where the screen attaches, that can be adjusted with sliding bars,to control airflow. Each vent bar is made of three circular holes, approximately the size of a pencil-top eraser which can be closed completely. The tank arrived with a styrofoam rock backdrop, which I removed. By removing the backdrop, I have four large viewing windows to easily monitor my snails. As the top screen is metal, it is difficult to see down into the tank, especially if there are overhead lights on. As a whole, I am very pleased with my purchase; it is perfect for snails (as I imagine it would be for other insect-type animals. I am not familiar with the needs of reptiles or amphibians and cannot directly comment on the tanks usefulness for housing those. I hope my description is somewhat helpful for those looking to purchase this tank for other animals.

First of all, I specifically said Id mistakenly ordered two of the wrong terrarium! I tried to cancel the order a good week in advance. Secondly, the first box I opened I reached in and cut my hand on broken glass! What on Earth?! Im spreading the word! There will NEVER be anymore Exo Terra in my home again and if I dont hear back, Ill be sharing with every reptile group Im both a part of on Facebook and every single one that I can find. Your package cushioning is more useless than single ply toilet paper. Wonderful thing to come home from work to. I cant even get these damn things back down the stairs nor fit both into my car.

You cant just buy any light fixtures for this because the bulb will melt the plastic on top. If it wasnt for the fact that i threw out the box it would be on its way back to the factory.

I love this little enclosure and I love that it opens from the front but the dang lock is a pain and hurts my fingers. It is really difficult to lock and unlock the doors. The price was awesome though. Just wish the lock wasn’t so hard. I’ll keep it and maybe use it for another little critter in the future.

Awesome new home for our crested gecko. Arrived quickly and in great shape. Even better than expected.

It took about three returns until I actually got it, but it was well worth it. Its very roomy and my two leopard geckos will love it! They do need to do a bit better with shipping however, it took them four tries to put a Fragile sticker on it so it didnt turn back cracked/broken. But in the end, Im loving this product, and will probably order more in the future for other geckos!

I use this for my baby black rat/corn snake hybrid, she’s 20 inches long. Setup was easy cleaning is easy, it’s very sturdy and the locks are very secure. I personally don’t like the foam backgrounds so I removed it, it was very easy to remove! It also has a very nice look to it. My package arrived early and packed safely there where where was no damage whatsoever!

I feel harsh giving this 2 stars because it really is an amazing tank, but look at the photo i posted, the doors arent aligned properly and i cant get it fully shut. i NEEDED this as the only home for my animals as i have no other place to put them in and its a heavy tank so im not sure on how to return this?
