> 3 dayThe absolute worst poop bags I’ve ever bought! Paper thin, tears if you look at them hard and do not contain the smell at all. Do not buy!!!!!

Greater than one weekLove these! Yes, they’re just doggie poop bags but truly hope they are better for the environment if not I’ll feel silly. Even so I think it’s a good value for the money and I’ve already re-bought them a couple times. No leaking, no tears, just solid, good quality.

> 3 dayThese are on the thin side but work well. One bag did rip was I tried to open it but the others were fine. I have know idea if they really compost because I throw them in the garbage but hopefully they do.

> 3 dayThese white bags tear to bits in cold weather. Get the green ones instead. When putting my hand in the bag, it would not infrequently break right though the bottom. Sometimes the bag would just tear a little bit. That was worse. The small tears go unnoticed until you find a brown smudge on your hand. Seriously: dont buy these. Get the green ones (same brand) instead.

> 3 dayI love the fact that they are biodegradable. That was always a concern for me. These bags are amazing quality. I do wish the price and quantity were more comparable to other poop bags sold.

> 3 dayThus far these bags have not had any major breakage or major issues. I have been using them when walking the dogs and find that they hold the small dog poop well and dont break (unless I accidentally pop them). They are not as solid as the generic black plastic poop bags, but these are compostable so I feel much better not using plastic and not contributing to the plastic waste issue.

> 3 daySadly, I cant recommend these bags in any way. As other reviewers have stated, the bags are quite fragile. Simply removing the paper sticker to open the roll generally tears the first bag. The main problem with the fragility seems to be low tensile strength in the material. Tears along the length of the bag propagate very quickly and with little required force. Apparently the corn based plastic is vastly inferior to plastic in that regard. Bags will tear if youre too rough removing a bag at its perforations. Additionally, static electricity can leave part of the bag stuck to the roll as you unwind one. Since the roll of bags is probably inside of a holder, its not immediately noticeable. This generally results in a bag torn along its length making it unusable. Im aware of the problems and try to be careful, but I still manage to spoil 1-3 bags per roll. One other unpleasant quality of the bags is porousness. If you place your bags right into a trash can, this might not be a problem for you. But in my case, I have a small outside can in which all the dog waste bags are placed. On trash day, I empty this small can into my regular trash can by hand. Ive done this for years with other bags without a problem. But these bags manage to leave the smell (and trace residue, I suppose) on my hands. So far Ive only used them in the winter; I cant imagine what the summer heat and humidity would do to these bags. I had been very satisfied with this companys other traditional bags (the treated plastic w/lavender scent). Id hoped the compostable bags would be a greener option. Unfortunately, I have been very disappointed and will not be buying more.
