Love the product. Recommended by our hygienist. One tip when breaking off the floss hold the package by the sides to stop the floss reel from turning while you pull against the blade. Otherwise the floss likes to pull past the cutoff blade.

Dentist recommended this. Its more effective than other floss, nice cardamon flavor and happy to do business with a company that is eco friendly- no plastic!

No holder for the floss just the floss in a plastic bag. Strange not to have a holder for floss.

Dr Tung’s Smart Floss is terrific, but the new recyclable cardboard container is a bit odd and tricky to use … at least for me.

In my Subscribe & Save for long time… took a simple shift in mindset to realize the new paper dispenser is just as good as the prior plastic one. I Highly Recommend. ♥️

I buy this floss because I read it comes closest to the Reach woven floss I used to buy. It’s a pretty good floss, though I might prefer a more standard minty flavor. My biggest complaint is the new cardboard packaging - it gets very soggy when I set it down on my sink. If we are trying to cut down on waste (admirable), I’d much prefer a refillable plastic package

Love this floss and it’s hard to get in bulk so glad Amazon carries it.

I am a huge fan of this floss - it is by far the best performing I have ever used. BUT, the new paper-based box for the floss is really one step forward, three steps back. Why? 1) Paper seems more Earth-friendly than plastic, but the (innovatively designed) plastic box could have been retained yet used recycled plastic, plant-derived plastic, and/or biodegradable plastic — instead of using paper. The company should have tried harder to find an innovative, green material — this customer will pay the premium associated with a more green material. 2) As someone who uses floss after brushing, my hands are wet. If you repeatedly get the new paper box wet, it becomes squishy and loses structural integrity. 3) I travel for work a lot and pack this floss in my toiletries. The paper box gets crushed, whereas the plastic box of course maintained form. This is a huge concern, because once the box is crushed, ease of use is gone. 4) It is actually much harder to thread the floss around the cutting edge of the paper box than it was to thread around the cutting edge of the plastic box — because of the paper box’s flap being in the way. 5) Harder to know how much floss I have left because the paper box is not translucent. The plastic box was.

We like this floss very much but have switched to Hayden’s floss, which is similar, because of the “new” crappy dr tung cardboard packaging.

I finished my first container of Cocofloss and was thrilled with it, of course, and wanted to try the Vanilla version, only to find I had to purchase it either directly from the website with $7 shipping or buy several to meet the free shipping threshold. I used this as an opportunity to search for other flosses with similar properties I like for when repurchasing from them is an annoyance/Im wanting a more specific flavor like this time. These are both great flosses. Cocofloss, especially, is wonderful for people who are adverse to flossing in general. This wasnt actually me, but thats how fun and texturally appealing it is to use. What I thought would actually happen here was Id be trying to convince myself to focus on the positives of Dr. Tungs but really Id be bored in comparison and it would be better than other flosses, at least, but still not Cocofloss and Im shocked how much I prefer it. Of the two flosses, Cocofloss wins in the color (I have a string-loving cat and used dental floss is not allowed outside the trash can ever for even one second, so the teal contrast is helpful visually) department and the flavor/scent-funness department, but for actual flossing purposes, Dr. Tungs is an absolute joy to use. It feels a bit more like a spaghetti noodle shape? But smaller. It feels softer than Cocofloss (or any floss) on my fingers and in my mouth. By softer I mean sort of larger and rounder-shaped, versus turning into a wedge that cuts. I dont know if any of that actually happens, but that too tight/cutting sensation on your fingers thats so awful with most other flosses doesnt happen here. I also have extremely close together teeth. Theres zero room in there whatsoever. This proved completely non-problematic for either of these flosses, and my teeth normally tear flosses quickly. These are both wonderful flosses, but I feel like Dr. Tungs is both more comfortable to use and probably is doing a more thorough job. This is a case where the shape/texture is just so much nicer to me that Id rather use it than even delightful vanilla + nice coconut wax texture + teal color. I could use a little more cardamom cowbell though. Or something. But they probably didnt want to alienate anyone. If youre worried about it being too much, it definitely isnt and it smells quite literally of cardamom, just much more faintly than I expected.
