Greater than one weekSeems like the quality on everything has slipped these days. First off: the new packaging is horrible. The old plastic container was great, but these new paper things are awful. I understand the need to be environmentally friendly, but these new packages are just cheap. Secondly: I have tight spaces between my teeth, but never had a problem with floss shredding and getting caught between my teeth until this last purchase. It get caught every single time. The strand breaks down much faster than it used to. QC seems to have gone out the window. Thirdly: Its still the same price as it was. A worse product for the same price. Id pay a bit more for better QC.

> 3 dayI finished my first container of Cocofloss and was thrilled with it, of course, and wanted to try the Vanilla version, only to find I had to purchase it either directly from the website with $7 shipping or buy several to meet the free shipping threshold. I used this as an opportunity to search for other flosses with similar properties I like for when repurchasing from them is an annoyance/Im wanting a more specific flavor like this time. These are both great flosses. Cocofloss, especially, is wonderful for people who are adverse to flossing in general. This wasnt actually me, but thats how fun and texturally appealing it is to use. What I thought would actually happen here was Id be trying to convince myself to focus on the positives of Dr. Tungs but really Id be bored in comparison and it would be better than other flosses, at least, but still not Cocofloss and Im shocked how much I prefer it. Of the two flosses, Cocofloss wins in the color (I have a string-loving cat and used dental floss is not allowed outside the trash can ever for even one second, so the teal contrast is helpful visually) department and the flavor/scent-funness department, but for actual flossing purposes, Dr. Tungs is an absolute joy to use. It feels a bit more like a spaghetti noodle shape? But smaller. It feels softer than Cocofloss (or any floss) on my fingers and in my mouth. By softer I mean sort of larger and rounder-shaped, versus turning into a wedge that cuts. I dont know if any of that actually happens, but that too tight/cutting sensation on your fingers thats so awful with most other flosses doesnt happen here. I also have extremely close together teeth. Theres zero room in there whatsoever. This proved completely non-problematic for either of these flosses, and my teeth normally tear flosses quickly. These are both wonderful flosses, but I feel like Dr. Tungs is both more comfortable to use and probably is doing a more thorough job. This is a case where the shape/texture is just so much nicer to me that Id rather use it than even delightful vanilla + nice coconut wax texture + teal color. I could use a little more cardamom cowbell though. Or something. But they probably didnt want to alienate anyone. If youre worried about it being too much, it definitely isnt and it smells quite literally of cardamom, just much more faintly than I expected.

> 3 dayThis is the BEST floss and I’ve tried many, many kinds (including Cocofloss). Works for tights spots and large spots. I don’t particularly like the cardamom flavor, but it is pretty faint. The issue, as many have already written about, is the new cardboard packaging, which is larger, more cumbersome, and much more delicate than the old plastic packaging. I appreciate the intent, but using paper to package something that is likely to get wet is not a great idea. If I can find an old plastic container, I plan to try to “refill” it, as suggested by another reviewer. In the meantime, I have left a comment on the manufacturer’s site and I encourage others to do the same! I hope they come out with easily refillable non-paper packaging instead.

> 3 dayI absolutely love this floss. But I really don’t like the new eco friendly packaging. It’s not sturdy. It’s big and awkward. Not as easy to take off a piece of floss. I really hope they can improve it or go back to previous packaging. I saw someone else say you could refill the old containers with the floss from the new ones. I would even prefer just being sent a refill that I can put in the same older packaging than the new cardboard version. That would probably be even more eco friendly of an option anyway.

> 3 dayThey changed the floss container to a horrible cardboard design that is frustrating to use. They also didnt seem to consider that water destroys cardboard. Not worth $4 a roll. BTW, if you still have one of the original plastic containers, you can pull the cover off and discard the old empty roll. Then, extract the full roll of floss from the junk cardboard container and put it in the plastic one. Put the cover back on. Good to go.

Greater than one weekThis is my favorite expandable floss. I’ve tried them all. I recommend this floss to every patient I review OHI with and whenever we follow up they’re pleased to tell me how it’s changed their life. Works great in tight spaces, doesn’t shred, it’s expandable woven design helps attract plaque and food debris. You can clearly see after use just how effective it cleans, amazing. It has a nice light taste of cardamom/lemongrass. I’ve been using only this floss for that past 2 years now. My 10 year old says it feels more gentle on her gums compared to other floss. Only downside is their recent change in packaging.. it’s not travel friendly. The flimsy thin cardboard is meant to be left on the shelf for minimal use which defeats the purpose of flossing. By all means do not allow this into the hands of a toddler. They’ll successfully open its little box frame hoping to find a surprise inside. It cannot be carried in your pocket or purse because it will get squished. The real frustration will come when the metal cutting square on top finally rips away from the cardboard flap. You’ll find yourself running into a 99ct store buying cheap floss just to use that plastic housing case for your expensive floss that had cheap packaging wtf.

Greater than one weekThis is such an easy floss to use! No shredding, and expands to space in between teeth. Great flavor, too!

> 3 dayThe last time I bought this floss they came in plastic discs, but this time they came in a non-plastic cardboard holder (still with the metal cutter). This is such a good idea, no loss of functionally but without throwaway plastic! The floss itself is also fantastic. My dentist recommends it, and its the best floss for actually getting stuff out of your teeth.

> 3 dayI wasnt sure about this floss after reading other reviews but I am happy I purchased it. This is the best floss I have ever used. Coming off Glide comfort after learning that it contains some undesirable (forever)chemicals, I wasnt sure that I would be satisfied but I am. This floss taste nice and cleans my teeth very well, better than anything else I have ever used including Glide. I have a bridge and threading this floss is a little tricky but it works. The packaging is a bit fragile and if are gentle you wont have any issues. I highly recommend, this is my new go to floss.
