Its 7 inches long, 2in at its widest, just bulky. Also hate that it takes a hard to find flat battery that I otherwise have no use for, so Im annoyed that I have to keep those in stock just for this. On the plus side, they did provide 2 spares (3 total). Minus 1 star for making battery management unnecessarily difficult. This thing is big enough for AA, so Im baffled at the choice of batteries when AAA would fit with plenty of room to spare and are common in all households. That all said, it sits in my kitchen drawer, so the size doesnt bother me, but worth noting it if you plan to carry around in a commercial setting. Love that the on/off is the probes position (no switches or buttons to power) and that it has a light you press to turn on (did I mention the weird batteries, best to make them last). If there was a competitor that offered the same thing but with common batteries, Id return this, but since this is all I could find and its otherwise perfect... I recommend.

The ease of use & cleaning, and immediate results, have made the food Im cooking taste much better. Nothing is over or under cooked anymore! This is a great tool for a backyard chef like myself!

Use this for cooking meat and fish, whether in the oven or on the grill. Always better to be safe, but still want the meat or fish to be juicy. Pulling off the heat right after reaching temp achieves the best of both worlds.

Easy to use. Water proof, which makes cleaning easier. Bought this as a gift for my husband because he always overcooks my steaks! Thank You!

So far great thermometer- used it once so far at Easter for my turkey- it was spot on and turkey was great. This was a replacement for a similar meat thermometer I had - the plastic cracked and broke where the temperature probe folds in and out-

So far I cannot list anything I do not like about the unit. I suggest you buy this one.

I only use a meat thermometer for chicken thighs these days, but this is PERFECT. Easy to use, easy to read, faster than fast. My ancient inherited MT finally just fell apart and I bought this to replace. Actually feel like I should do it justice by cooking more !
