> 3 dayI had to turn a torx head screw in and only had a 1/4 shanked bit to do it with, I used a 3/8 to 1/4 adapter with a 1/4 socket put the bit in the socket and promptly twisted it right in two. I bought this and it is solid as a rock, allows me to use my longer 1/2 socket wrench too.

> 3 dayFirst: at under $7 its a good price, and being Dewalt the quality is good Im sure. However: its longer than it needs to be, somewhat negating the compactness of my DC820 its sloppy, and bits wiggle around quite a lot and (philosophically) paying a little more for a tool youre happy with is always worth it Verdict: I tried Milwaukees version, and its tighter, more compact and just better--even at twice the price (about $15) its well worth it.

Greater than one weekThis adapter is pretty cool. It lets you use your 1/4-inch hex shank bits with 1/2-inch impact wrenches. Which effectively turns them into powerful impact drivers. This lets me get a lot more use out of my impact wrench than I would otherwise.

> 3 dayThe internal locking clip broke off after 4 months of heavy use building a no nail house. Still spins the bit but the bits just fall out of the chuck. Bought another one anyway. A magnetic chuck may be a better design.
