> 24 hourI was very disappointed in this product, having purchased it for an impact wrench attachment. DeWalt markets long bits specifically for that purpose ... they have a bit on both ends of the workpiece. Unfortunately, they go too deep into this attachment and get completely stuck. I finally drilled a hole through the bottom so I could drive it out. Very frustrating. Works fine for the short bits, but this defect would stop me from buying it if I knew it in advance. Fair warning!

> 24 hourThe retaining ring on the front was loose and prevented the collar from returning completely. So, I pried the ring out with pliers and bent it into shape. Now, the bit is seated firmly, does not slip out, and the collar is pushed securely to the face. Bought this adapter to use my impact wrench to drive timber screws. Tested and works perfect.

> 24 hourWas hoping to leave behind my drill and carry a small dewalt impact wrench for ultimate flexibilty. however it isnt balanced, but this is for rough work. i suppose i can ad a counter weight but nah. dont try to use this with a small diameter hex drill bit with your impact wrench, or small diameter head drivers. actually found this cheaper at a big box store...

> 24 hourBought this to use hex bits with my larger impact on concrete anchors. It works well for that, but I feel like the quick release spring/clip will break as it doesnt feel very durable or smooth. I read some reviews on that breaking, but for as often as Ill use it Im not worried.

> 24 hourIs your 1/2 impact driver spending most of its time just waiting for a bigger job? Get it out of the toolbox and back into use by expanding its capabilities. Get this 1/2 to 1/4 Rapid Load adapter and get it back working for you. Use all of your 1/4 drive bits, drills, and other accessories with your 1/2 drive tool. A little caution though, your impact driver is way more powerful than that 1/4 driver or drill youre used to using. Take it slow till you get used to having ten times the driving power. This stays attached to my impact wrench until I find a job that needs a socket.

> 24 hourOccasionally it would be good to be able to use my 1/2 impact driver with 1/4 inch hes stuff. This would not be for continuous use, but for the once in a while use, it fits the bill

> 24 hourThis item is perfect for my needs. I gave it 5 stars because of that reason alone.

> 24 hourDriven over 1000 timber screws and no problems. Did have problem with bit getting stuck like others did but put a few drops of oil in it and problem salved. Put a few drops of oil in before you use it and will work just fine.

> 24 hourThe adapter is a bit wobbly on my DeWalt 1/2 impact driver, but no more than any other socket would be. It seems sturdy enough as far as the body and locking mechanism. My big gripe with it is that it holds DeWalt impact screwdriver bits (normal one sided type) too deep in the chuck, making it difficult to place the tip of the bit. The double-sided bits fit fine but are much harder to find locally and even online. Shipping from Amazon was fast and it was packed well, as usual. I would recommend as a temporary solution for 1/2 to 1/4 conversion, and until something better comes along I will be using it daily.
