Greater than one weekJust a very few things turned me away from this beautifully crafted Dell U2723QE 27 16:9 4K UHD IPS Monitor with USB Type-C Docking. 1) I tested this monitor side by side the LG 24MD4KL-B 24-inch Ultrafine 4K UHD IPS LED Monitor with Built-in Speakers, 3840x2160. I really wanted a 27 monitor for work flow and productivity purposes but the 24 LG won, and heres why. I couldnt believe I gave up the 27 however, screen quality and MacBook integration along with Thunderbolt 3 played the biggest role in my decision. The Dell didnt look great side by side, although equipped with 1.07 Billion colors, 4K 3840x2160 screen resolution, along with so many connection ports (another reason I bought the Dell) I couldnt sleep at night. If the Dell was capable of 500cd/m of brightness, Mac integration and Thunderbolt, hands down I would have kept it. Like I mentioned, this is an excellent monitor but its not for everyone and I can say the same for the LG. If youre looking for a lot of connections, larger screen real estate and a decent brightness of 400 cd/m² Brightness, GO FOR IT!

> 3 dayThis monitor is spectacular. if youre using a 1080p monitor between the prices of $100-$200 youre missing out. If you ever owned a mac book pro, you know the display is great. This monitor is the same or even better. The colors are very accurate. If your computer supports 4k resolution, get this monitor. easy to set up and has many ports, plug your mac, windows and gaming console at the same time. Worth for the price. Get it when is on deal.

> 3 daySpent a lot of time researching monitors and excluding some that were not Mac friendly. This one, so far, has been great. Love the one cable for display/power via USB-C. Only con is that the monitor is a little shaky at times at various heights. Its also a little pricy (although you do get nice features and its a great display). Still, Id love to see it around $100 lower. So the cost plus the shakiness are my reasons for the 4/5 instead of a 5/5. But would still recommend it in a heartbeat to any Mac owners looking for a device with ports in the back including the one cable USB-C power/display.

> 3 dayI was initially quite impressed with this monitor, but then as time goes, I decided to purchase this identical model at different time for my main residence, also vacation residence, a total of three that gets quite expensive fast but I thought initially its was worth it. Pros: UV Filteration Protection Deeper black color space. USB-C Alt Display Mode+ USB Hub built in, 1 x DP, 1 x HDMI Cons: * White color space is way off if side-by-side (I have 2 monitors at vacation home, hardly powered regardless its purchased months apart) * USB-C port I can not seem to get beyond 4k@30Hz on both Dell Precision and Gigabyte Aero Thunderbolt Docking station ports with out some sort of adapter, recent discovery. * I work hard also like to have enjoy my break time through out the day, switching to my gaming laptop input on this particular monitor is that more annoying, including DellDisplay Manager app which does not support newer AltDisplay mode to HDMI/DP through docking stations through . Summary: I am a Thunderbolt dedicated user, using factory short cable long cable, 70$ expensive active thunderbolt cable, different TB-Docking stations, Ive done it all. * My Dell Precision 5540 - mentioned in spec it has limited support to 4K @ 30Hz (if direct Thunderbolt connection is made as AltMode display). But depending on my Docking Station + HDMI adapter connected hardware it does allow 4K @ 60Hz (such as using Docktek HDMI 8K adapter) * My Gigabyte Aero 15 gaming laptop (windows 11) - it should support 4K@60Hz with no issue with no specific docking required or adapter via Type-C connection What I think this monitor truly annoying part is switching between inputs through out the day, if you are frequent input switcher between work & play be aware, you might end up needing a dedicated external HDMI switch box, that adds up even more $.

> 3 dayCons: 1) Doesnt scale well with Mac since not 220 ppi or 110 ppi but chances are you already new that. 2) Design looks outdated, extremely thick. Looks like it cost about $300 tops. 3) Brightness and matte finish make it difficult to make out Text, looks distorted and light gray (as opposed to black due to limited contrast ratio) 4) Would be the best value monitor on the market for $500 dollars or under, but its still a stretch for its antique look. Pros: 1) USB-C power delivery, 4k resolution, Had I not returned this product it would have been a 5 star review. Good luck on your Monitor hunting!

> 3 dayPrimer member very likely have the same experience like me. Delivered! Set up! Returned! Reviewing now. No audio! After a long time google, someone do share that this $600 monitor does not have any speakers even you can see it in the output device list both in windows and MacOS. Only 30Hz in Macbook pro 2019. How come?

Greater than one weekIve seen the reviews that complain about this monitor having a noticeable reflection from nearby lighting, or that the screen is not bright enough (400 nits). At first glance, there seems to be a nugget of an issue in all this. But the DELL U2723QE gives such full control over color space, brightness and contrast and whole range of different adjustment aspects that I could not disagree more with the reviews saying this monitor is not bright enough. Expecting that a display is not going reflect any light is not a valid point, IMHO. The overall flexibility in usage options, the jog dial for manual adjustments and the DELL software for PC management, the ease of applying updates, HDR10 w/preset options, DCI-P3 v2, USB-C daisy chaining, a built-in KVM, PBP and Pip, the list of features is almost too long to cover. What does matter in the long run is that if you know what you need and you are willing to pay for it, then go get this monitor. You will find the decision pays for itself.

> 3 dayFinally found a monitor that works great with my Apple MacBook Pro w/ M1 CPU. I use my computer for work, and this monitor allows me to easily work in three or four different windows . Text is sharp due to high dpi rate (4K at 27”); no soft edges or ghosting.
