My mom LOVES Damp Did products! We live in a fairly humid area and ever since moving into our house 20 years ago we have struggled with our walls growing mold, especially on the areas where there is furniture touching them. A few times a year she has to scrub and clean mold off and just plain hated doing so & the humid/musky odor in her bedroom since that was the worst area of the house. We originally bought the small buckets to place under her bed and the hanging bags for the closet. When she asked me to reorder thd buckets & I told her about these refills she was ecxtatic! We got the DampRid about few months ago to put in our master bedroom walk-in closet, which is connected to our bathroom (though separated by a door) and the absorbing unit was almost full of water after 3 to 4 months of use with the original absorbing pouch. I would never have thought that there would be that much moisture in a walk-in closet - and we keep the door closed all the time too (and live in a place thats dry in the summer months). So Im glad we got the DampRid. After dumping out the water, I left the original pouch in the unit. It still absorbed moisture, but at a much slower rate than before. So I got the refill packs and it definitely helped absorb more moisture compared to the 3-4 month old pouch. I do think the 4-pack refill was slightly cheaper at Bed, Bath, and Beyond if you have one of their 20% off coupon. But theres no sales tax on Amazon where Im from. Its definitely worth it though.

The item is easy to set-up really helps pull the humidity out of my closet.

Have used this product for several years in finished & workshop portion of the basement. Average usage is three (3) bags every four (4) month.

This is a great and reliable product. I hope they continue making this refill for the design I purchased. I hate when two-part products get redesigned or discontinued and I would be especially sad if that happened to this great product. Ive tried the plug-in rechargeable desiccants, the charcoal moisture and odor absorbers but this has been the most reliable. I live in a coastal city and it stays pretty humid year round. I also live in a small home and things are packed pretty tightly in the closets. Without DampRid, I have had moisture and worse, odor problems. Ive found spots of mold growing on my leather shoes! I tried the bucket but it spills too easily and gets nasty since its open. The container that takes these refills is well-balanced and uninteresting to animals so they leave it alone. It has never been kicked over and always keeps the closets smelling fresh and free of mold. It is disceet and effective.

We have always used DAmpRid through out our house. We have the older style packet containers and its getting tougher to find the packets for them. We always buy the unscented flavor and the Amazon price is the same or better than Bed Bath & Beyond.

These are easy to use and really do absorb the moisture out of your rooms and house. Easy to empty liquid and refill with a new bag.
