> 3 dayThe product works great for reducing humidity in the bathroom, however as others have stated…the packing is terrible. I had to return the first package due to missing refills and a torn open box. The second package had all 4 refills yet the box was still torn open. This should definitely be shipped in a box rather than a bag!

Greater than one weekWe have high humidity in Southwest Florida all year around. This humidity can wreak havoc with anything susceptible to moisture damage, whether it be clothing, books, collectibles, or anything made of metal. To provide an extra level of protection in our home, we use the DampRid System in some of our larger storage areas, our master closet, and next to our book collections. Once your system dissolves the pellets and fills with water, simply open the top latch, remove the empty bag, pour out the water, and put in a new refill pack. You will be surprised at how quickly and efficiently this system works. Just make sure to keep an eye on it so you can refill it on a timely basis.

Greater than one weekSo we live in Florida and deal with humidity year round despite air conditioning. This works great in the bathroom and closets. My only complaint, and hence the 3 star rating, is its a mess to empty and change out the bag cartridge. The residue liquid at the bottom is highly corrosive and it gets all over my hands when emptying and changing. And heaven forbid you touch your eye with this stuff. I dont know what the solution to this issue is other than buying a totally disposable hanging bag which is probably more expensive and wasteful. However, if you can deal with this problem, and or it doesnt bother you then go with it.

> 3 dayThis is a great and reliable product. I hope they continue making this refill for the design I purchased. I hate when two-part products get redesigned or discontinued and I would be especially sad if that happened to this great product. Ive tried the plug-in rechargeable desiccants, the charcoal moisture and odor absorbers but this has been the most reliable. I live in a coastal city and it stays pretty humid year round. I also live in a small home and things are packed pretty tightly in the closets. Without DampRid, I have had moisture and worse, odor problems. Ive found spots of mold growing on my leather shoes! I tried the bucket but it spills too easily and gets nasty since its open. The container that takes these refills is well-balanced and uninteresting to animals so they leave it alone. It has never been kicked over and always keeps the closets smelling fresh and free of mold. It is disceet and effective.

> 3 dayA great product for damp areas, like the laundry room! This product will suck out the moisture in the air and deposit it into the well receptacle in the bottom of the unit. There are a couple of sizes available to purchase, and even one that hangs like a hangar. One issue is the unit will sometimes get clogged from the product over time, restricting the flow of captured water to the collection well. If this happens, rinse off the whole unit with hot water until the product has been washed away.

> 3 dayI just moved into a vintage apartment and it had a musty smell to it! I went straight to Amazon to order this easy to use product. You just open the content into a basket they provide, sit in a corner and forget about it! The order and smells were gone within hours!

12-11-2024We had a dampness and rust problem with our wood stove during the Summer. The wood stove was cold from air conditioning, while the outside was hot and humid. This caused the hot, humid air to enter the wood stove, condense, and then trigger rust. I placed a refill in a shallow pan which I then put at the bottom of the wood stove. The refill absorbed all of the humidity and thwarted the rust problem.
