I used the Acronis for Crucial program to clone the O/S drive and was initially impressed with the speed increase on my laptop. The almost instantaneous boots and the jump in my Windows Experience score were great - until I noticed that there was no audio device installed. Thinking it might have been a glitch, I cloned it over again and still no audio device installed. After an hour+ of trying to find a solution online I gave up. Pretty annoying and regrettable that I had to return the drive.

My old hard drive was very broken and this brought my old MacBook Pro back to life even faster than it was before! Just make sure you keep the mounting screws from the old hard drive to mount this one otherwise it won’t sit tightly.

Ive run into issues with other SSD drives. Crucial seems to balance the price and speed with a reactive controller interface. Ive never had a problem installing this in a Windows OS laptop. Ive resurrected many a dead laptop with Crucial products...
