I like these brass rods. I think that they are hard enough to be durable yet malleable enough to be cold-worked as necessary. I examined both rods and discovered no obvious flaws in material or workmanship. They will work.

I used these as exposed dowel pins for woodworking to add some flair. Im really happy that these measured very accurately - exactly .125 from my dial calipers. The outside has a nice surface finish, not mirror-like but much more smooth than something from the hardware store. Easy to cut with a metal hacksaw too.

This set includes two 12” brass rods, seemingly of high-quality, well drawn and free from any defects. Polished up quickly and easily. Comes in a handy to piece plastic sleeve to help protect it from dents and dings. Does exactly what it promises, a solid purchase.

High quality brass rod stock! Relatively hard and springy temper. Pros: -Perfect cut ends -Dead straight -Consistent Dimensions Cons: -Diameter maybe slightly undersized? I measured all rods to be 0.98mm. But that could very well be within the tolerance of my calipers.

This 1/2 rod arrived in very good condition packaged in a plastic sleeve. It is straight and the surface finish was quite good for a product in as manufactured condition. The rod is .499 in diameter and it was approximately 11 13/16 long. Despite the slightly shorter than specified length, I am pleased with teh quality of this product.

The uses are many and a few common ones are for brass pins in knife handles, general hobby crafts, model cars, planes and boats. It is popular for many uses as brass rod is easy to bend, solder, braze has a high astrenght.

I used these Coolneon Brass Rods to make miniature hand-railings for a model structure. I haven’t used 2mm brass rods before and found it to be a nice in-between size compared to the 1/16 and 1/8 brass I had on hand; it is surprisingly stiff but still easy to bend in a vice or with pliers. Solder sticks to it well too. It came safely packaged in a nice tube. I will likely be buying more of this product in the near future.

Cut flush, not beveled as suggested by some of the photos in the product description. Needed a good polishing, but otherwise smooth and straight. Packed in a nice protective shell. Will work well for my project.

I needed a bit longer brass rod to utilize as a soft punch for a project. The old one I owned was a bit too short. This 12 piece of round stack brass shoild be perfect for my intended use at a price that wont break the bank. It was supplied in a plastic slip on case which I believe I will keep as a storage place for the brass rod. Met all of my expectations!

I like the finish of all pieces, and the size of the 3/16 rods is accurate. I found the 5/16 rod to be very slightly undersized, but only by 0.0005. It makes for a snug slip fit in an accurately sized hole. The 3/8 rod was .0015 over which made it a press fit in a 3/8 hole. While I have done pins for knife handles, I do plenty of other DIY crafts and enjoy using brass for the appearance and workability. Great to have on hand!
