The Coolneon Brass Rods Dia.1mm to 8mm,Len.100mm,50PCS,Knife Handle pin Material is very good raw stock for the making of knife handle and firearm pins. This set provides a varied assortment of different thickness brass rods to cut about any size brass pin you could require for knife making or gun repairs. It is also useful for making guide pins for bench assembly work. These are good quality brass rods in a usefull length that are contained in a plastic storage cylinder. I like using the Coolneon brass rods and I consider them a very good value!

This brass bar arrived in good shape. It is clean and does not have any significant surface corrosion. When I measure it though I consistently am getting a diameter of 0.374 instead of 0.375 (3/8). This happens to be 9.5mm and I suspect that is the spec this bar was actually made to. If I needed bar that was exactly .375, I would be buying a larger diameter and machining it to size anyway, so I dont feel the .001 undersize is a significant deviation. But I do think its worth mentioning. Overall Im pretty happy with this brass bar and give it 4 stars for meeting my expectations (but not exceeding them). I also ordered a pair of these brass rods in 1/4 diameter - those measure out to .250 so they are correctly sized. Ive very happy with the quality of both sets of brass bars.

I ordered both the 2mm and 1mm rods from this vendor. Both arrived in a plastic tube that separates in about the middle. The rods came unbent and clean. They look well made and I am happy to have these for various uses including pins in wood working projects and armatures for crafts.

The uses are many and a few common ones are for brass pins in knife handles, general hobby crafts, model cars, planes and boats. It is popular for many uses as brass rod is easy to bend, solder, braze has a high astrenght.

I got this for hobby, mostly making metallic decorative dowels. The rod came in a plastic sleeve, it was straight and shiny. Good deal.

Theyre brass rods that I needed for a project. Theyre finished well, and the ones I received are dimensionally accurate. Cant ask for much more. Come in multiple diameters and will probably order more for other projects I have planned.

It took about two weeks for the rods to arrive, which was longer than we expected. However, the seller did communicate with us and let us know that there was a delay in shipping. Picked this up to made a sight punch, as well as a back-up squib rod for the range. Not much to say about a brass rod, other than it works and the price is right.

I like the finish of all pieces, and the size of the 3/16 rods is accurate. I found the 5/16 rod to be very slightly undersized, but only by 0.0005. It makes for a snug slip fit in an accurately sized hole. The 3/8 rod was .0015 over which made it a press fit in a 3/8 hole. While I have done pins for knife handles, I do plenty of other DIY crafts and enjoy using brass for the appearance and workability. Great to have on hand!

Wow, I wasnt sure what to expect when I ordered these brass rods, but I was really hoping for some good rods to use for making rivets. I dont know why, but I seem to struggle with finding good quality brass wire for rivet making -- its always so soft that its nearly impossible to form a rivet head without deforming the whole thing. These rods are absolutely perfect for what I need, so Im really happy to have found them! Judging by the feel of the hardness of the 1mm rods, these DO seem like 1/2 hard brass. I wont really know until I actually make a rivet, but Im optimistic, because I cannot easily bend the 1mm rod with very light pressure, which is often the case with almost all the wire I get, which has a soft temper. Overall, these look good -- they dont have a great finish (its OK, but its not jewelry-quality), so whatever youre using them for, expect to do some sanding and polishing if presentation matters. I have no problem with doing my own finishing, especially for the price of these. One final note: pay attention to the length! The 50 piece pack ranging in diameter from 1mm to 8mm has 100mm length rods. These are NOT very long. For me, this is actually ideal, but depending on what you need, it may not be, so keep that in mind.
