> 3 dayThis device saved me hours of work and helped me complete an enormous home re-cabling project! I would recommend a special packaging note about no signal trace through splitters. This is the top tool I will always have when dealing with coax cabling!

> 3 dayThere should be a special hell for installers who do not label coax cable! There were 7 cables coming out of my attic to a splitter, and I had no clue which went to a particular room. This handy gadget quickly solved the mystery for me; screw the tone piece on one end and apply the piece with the battery to the other end of the cable. If you hear a loud tone, label that cable right now! If not, keep testing until you find the correct cable. Its one of those items you may only need once in your lifetime, so I was glad the price was reasonable.

> 3 dayI find it totally amazing that a product like this comes with absolutely no instructions. Not even a URL to go to. To be fair, the product seems to work OK, but it may do even more than sound a tone when detecting continuity. I have no way of knowing. Please, a simple one page cheat sheet can’t be too much to ask.

> 3 dayI had one when I did professional installs. Theres no plastic, no LCD screen, no nonsense. Metal body, one battery, one LED, one speaker. You need it for one job and it gets it done.

> 3 dayI bought this so I could trace my lines from my old outside antenna when i cancelled my cable service. It works great. Once i figured out what to put where I found the right cables. It would have been nice to include some simple instructions.

> 3 dayI bought this becuase my sister had no idea what wire led to which room in her house. You hook one end up to the wire outside and the beeper end to any room (or vice versa) and start testing. Of course it takes two people (one at each location) but you will soon be able to label your wires accordingly. I even tested it on a coax that was 600 feet long and the signal had no problem traveling down the wire. Great little tool.
