Too expensive! I dont know if this type of bedding is even necessary or comfortable for my guinea pigs, but I will use very little in their cage (to control smell) because its pricey. As long as you have plenty of newspaper and hay, you should be set.

The best bedding for my guinea pigs! Bedding using aromatic wood shavings is a huge DONT, and this is a great deal on safe absorbent paper bedding! My girls approve of it. This is the first time I recall buying a bag of Carefresh in something that seemed aimed specifically for guinea pigs, and it seems just like the one made for general creatures. Get it!

The bedding was not so soft. It was very hard and had a cardboard smell. Hard to break apart.

This paper bedding felt like a bunch of take out trays for drinks (like you’d get from a mcdonalds or tim hortons) had been shredded, it was not too soft at all. But worse of all, the smell of the paper bedding. Opening the bag and spreading bedding out for my bunnies, this absolute putrid almost chemical smell filled the air. Worried for myself and the bunnies and noticing the smell not airing out, I throw most of this bedding away and went with another product that was much more successful and accurate in description.

Long-lasting freshness, used for a ferret. Easy to clean, no dust or icky fragrance to deal with.
