This product is one of my all time favorites! I use this both on myself but more importantly its used on my 5 month old baby. Some of my friends have expressed their opinions on how strongly scented this product is however I beg to differ. They also feel that the product may be too harsh for a babys skin and again I differ on this opinion. Besides its well worth noting that for any and all commercial baby wash products one may deem unfit due to the harshness of it, my suggestion is for all moms out there to invest in those cheap foaming soap dispensers. I use them all time for my own homemade face wash. But I also use them along with all baby wash products. I simply add a quarter or less of the product and top the rest off with purified water. Sometimes a tablespoon of a carrier oil such as sweet almond oil, or coconut oil helps by offering a bit more moisture to the product. I personally use this method because it holds a practical purpose and use.

UPDATE: So I just wanted to apologize to Burt’s Bees because I found out the rash my newborn had was from an egg allergy. Apparently this is pretty typical for newborns and tends to last around a year. We’ve been using the Burt’s Bees line of products (because we purchased the set) that includes the wash, oil and lotion and we haven’t noticed any rashes. I can’t say for sure if this is the case for other reviewers that noticed rashes on their newborns, but if any other mommas like me EBF (exclusively breastfeed) their babies and notice rashes, I’d say have their pediatrician test their diaper (poo) for any (temporary) allergies! I would’ve never guessed. INITIAL REVIEW: I really wanted to love this product since I’m a huge fan and customer of Burt’s Bees, however using this wash (along with the Burt’s Bees baby oil) on my newborn gave him a horrible rash all over his face. I’m a FTM, but my sister saw him and recommended pHisoderm. I’m trying it out (just got it yesterday) but the reviews are promising. But yeah I hate to be THAT guy that leaves a bad review, but I had to. I don’t typically leave reviews but I think any mom, especially FTM like me has a right to know the truth. I was so devastated by his acne so I’m hoping the new soap will clear things up as quickly as people are saying.

Bottle came broken, luckily not much soap was lost and I had a spare pump.

Babies smell nice! But thats not by accident. They smell nice because of the wash and lotion their mommies put on their little bodies. Without that, they smell like sour milk, diapers, and well, REAL baby. But whats in all of those washes and lotions? Dont ask! I love Burts Bees products, and the baby wash is no exception. I like that it smells so nice, but I like even more that its natural and gentle. The ingredients arent scary like some others. Granted, its not 100% crunchy granola pure, but its pretty darned good. Both of my babies have used this from their first bath (I even made the nurse use it in the hospital when she bathed baby #2!), and I wouldnt use anything else. Its pricey, but I think its well worth it for something that doesnt dry them out. Did I mention that it smells AMAZING? Buying it in the 3-pack was a smart move, since that will probably last us the better part of a year--no joke! A little goes a long way!

Amazon was good, no complaints about the arrival or packaging. The complaint is with Chlorox and your QA/QC person. I am a forensic chemist. There are significant differences in color between my old bottle and the new bottle that I received with this order. More, the viscosity between the two lots was also significantly different. This new lot was much less viscous, and produces a lot less suds. Same exact label. I then went to Kroger, bought one off the shelf, and it is was a lot whiter and and viscous than both. Either the Mafia is now hijacking and adulterating Burts Bees product (expensive enough there could be some profit in it), or chlorox has cheapened its product production, or its quality control, or.... That reduction in viscosity and it coming across more watery has me concerned regarding product stability and microbial contamination. If you are going to have a product that watery, then you need to load it up with anti-microbial preservatives. The third issue with this new lot is that the product is much more cloudy that the old lot. Like either the glucosides are precipitating because there is a difference in the pH between the two lots, or that is a bacterial/fungal growth. Needless to say, I am not using this package shipment, and went out and got some Ivory soap for the kids. I buy Burts Bees because I knew the Formulator before it was sold to Chlorox, and as PCP go, this stuff was fairly good. The products coming out of Chloroxs Burts Bees, I was buying them and using them on my Children. It was that good. Whatever jackass executive is letting things slide, get rid of them, and bring back your quality product. Dont screw this brand up! Chlorox - Fix this, and fix this fast! P.S. How about for 2019, you put the ingredients for the fragrance on the label? natural fragrance is marketing BS. Give us honesty and transparency. We are all desperate to trust a product, your products. Earn our trust!

I’m personally a big fan of this product, due to my daughter having sensitive skin. The scent is pleasant, her hair is super soft, and her skin feels clean. This is my first time ordering it from Amazon, however and I’m incredibly disappointed. I’m not upset with the product itself, but more so how it arrived and it appears I’m not the only one who’s had an issue. Despite there being a seal to prevent the product from leaking, it still leaked. There’s clumps of dried soap around the pump (this was only ordered 2 days ago) and a significant amount is missing. When I washed the bottle off and push on the pump, soap was instantly coming out which gives me the impression that it has been used before. Usually when you purchase something new, you must push the pump a handful of times before product comes out. When you’re paying almost $15 for a product, this is pretty disappointing and upsetting.
