> 3 dayIve been taking some form of protein powder for over a 20 year period. Recently, Ive looked for an all in one powder that I can readily make and shake after workouts as well as before bed or during the day if I need a quick meal replacement. This would replace whey after a workout, and casein before bed I am just tired of buying multiple bottles of protein powder. I also just started using a new pre workout instead of C4

> 3 dayIm not a body builder or a hard core gym freak, but I do what I need to do to stay healthy. I take a pre-workout and protien shake twice a day, once in the morning and once immediatly after my workout and thats all the workout supplements I take. Ive used ON Gold Standard, Dymatize Elite, and Scivation Whey. I think they are all great and have a good taste and are also easy to mix, but Im leaning more towards the Syntha-6. First let me say that the cake batter is the best tasting protien Ive ever had, even my wife liked it (and shes very picky). Secondly, the mixability is good but I use the blender ball and that always gets it done. I did try to mix it one day without the blender ball and had some clumps, but nothing too bad. I felt like I had a noticable difference in the performance as well. I started taking syntha 6 after I took about 7-8 months off from the gym and I wasnt taking anything that entire time. I was literally starting out fresh. Ive done this before and I knew the first 2-3 weeks would be the worst. Muscles swelling, cramps, aching and so forth, HOWEVER I had none of that. This was the first time I didnt have cramps or severe swelling. I didnt hold back either, I pushed and did the force rep method and even some drop sets. The Syntha-6 gave me quick recovery times and excellent support for muscle growth. It was immediate. I had people asking me if I had been working out by week 2. They could see it that fast. 2 scoops in the morning every day (on days and off days) and then 2 scoops immediatly after your work out will get it done. This is an excellent protien for the money and worth the try. Im going to stick with this product for the long haul.

> 3 dayThis is great if youre bulking, amazing taste so easy to down. I would recommend also getting their mass gainer and mixing with milk, literally turns into a vanilla shake. Product on its own is a tier above in terms of flavor vs all other brands though.

> 3 dayI chose this product based on several things. The first factor was taste. I had sampled a casein from Optimum Nutrition that was flavored as Blueberries and Cream that tasted, well, god awful. I think that was likely a reflection on the particular flavor and not ON in general, I have taken their Amino Energy which tastes great but is pretty dubious as to its effectiveness. In light of those experiences, I had heard nothing but good things about the taste of Syntha-6 and I can confirm that this stuff does indeed taste damn good. Given the amount of carbs, fat, and corn syrup solids in it, I suspected it probably would taste good. Cold Swiss Miss hot chocolate is a good reference for how you can expect this to taste. Ive also tried the vanilla flavor and while I prefer the cake batter, vanilla was fairly tasty, didnt have as much of a chemical taste as some vanillas do. Additionally, I have no issues with dairy/lactose/gluten all that stuff so I cant give any reflection on what effects it has on someone with a sensitivity to any of that. The second factor was price; I have never had too much of a budget for these sorts of things. Its cheaper than a lot of proteins that I have seen. Most any protein powder with a reasonable price and good taste is going to contain artificial sweeteners and those things, and this is no exception. Overall, the comparatively high levels of fat and carbs in this mean it is probably best for those looking to gain weight as they train and also for people looking to use these things as meal replacements. Price is decent, making this a good value in my estimation. There are better options out there, but there are also a ton of lesser options as well.

> 3 dayI think this is my first time leaving a review in Amazon despite I am buying products from Amazon at least 3~4 products per week. For a quick note regarding my physical appearance, back in 7 years ago I was extremely overweight, started about 30% body fat, 38inch+ pants size, and even had a gout... I have been working out for almost more than 7 years and currently maintaining 10%~15% body fat. I am NOT a body builder nor heavy lifter at gym. I am just an electrical engineer going to gym/outdoor activities 5 times a week. My main workout routine is basically to maintain my body weight, muslce, and body fat as consistent as possible. So far I have tried Myotein, GNC AMP, Golds Gym Protein Powder (they stated FDA approved). This is my first time I tried BSNs brand and consuming for more than a month, I got to say I love the taste out of all the protein powder I tried. To be honest I am NOT an expert. I do NOT know all the specific ingredients and how they benefit to my body. Two things I love about this product compared to other protein powder (Myotein, GNC AMP, and Golds Gym Protein Powder) are, 1. The taste (I had Chocolate Milkshake). I do not taste Aspartame and today I just verified from the label that there is not. 2. The result. Since spring and summer is coming up, I am beginning my strict diet, trying to go down about 9~10% body fat from 15%~16% body fat. Along with my diet I have been drinking BSN Protein Powder and I am seeing better results (less muscle pain and faster recovery). Overall, I prefer this Protein Powder over all the protein powder I have bought. I honestly liked Golds Gym Protein Powder but they are $20 more expensive than this product.

> 3 dayI’ve been very picky about anything protein related. I’ve tried so many different brands with very little success because the taste of the protein is always too strong and leaves a bad after taste in my mouth. I’ve luckily found a protein bar I really like and now I can add this protein powder to that list. This protein powder was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. I was kind of dreading it ever since I purchased it because I was afraid I wasn’t going to like it and waste my money. But it was sooooo good. The vanilla flavor was strong and the protein taste was barely there. I use oat milk which gives it a thicker texture which I like because it was like drinking melted ice cream. I will definitely be purchasing this again as I work on my muscle building.

Greater than one weekThis is a decent protein powder - but with so many other options, I wouldnt purchase it again. First of all, I think taste should be discussed. Everyone that uses Syntha-6 raves about the flavor, and its good (in fact, with milk, its fantastic). However, every protein tastes better with milk; with water, Syntha-6 is slightly above average. Mixing with water, the protein has a distinctly artificial flavor, with a noticeable aftertaste. Although it really tastes like a milkshake when mixed with milk, the protein shake is just a protein shake when mixed with water. This is kind of disappointing, as I was expecting the flavor to outweigh the powders comparative nutritional shortcomings. Syntha-6 has more fat, cholesterol, and calories per serving than Optimum Nutrition and Dymatize - all while offering less protein per serving. And while the idea of a multi-protein blend seems appealing at first, the Syntha-6 labels provide basically no information on the mix ratio. This makes it kind of hard to determine how to use the protein. Is it suitable for post-workout shakes (traditionally a time when quick-absorbing whey is used)? Is it a good protein to take just before bed (generally a time when slow-absorbing casein protein would be used)? Ultimately, you dont have enough information to know with any degree of certainty; you just have to trust BSN and believe that the Syntha-6 mix is ideal. Personally, Im inclined to believe that it belongs in the jack of all trades, master of none category. In short, I wont be getting another bottle. The proteins flavor really isnt game-changing; the nutritional value is poor, compared to other mainstream options, and the mystery blend of proteins used in Syntha-6 just doesnt have my confidence. Get yourself a bottle of whey and a bottle of casein instead, if youre into the post-workout/nighttime shakes thing. Otherwise, just go with something that has a better nutritional profile (like Dymatize or Optimum Nutrition).
