The taste alone beats a lot of other protein powders I’ve tried. Shipped and arrived extremely fast

I chose this product based on several things. The first factor was taste. I had sampled a casein from Optimum Nutrition that was flavored as Blueberries and Cream that tasted, well, god awful. I think that was likely a reflection on the particular flavor and not ON in general, I have taken their Amino Energy which tastes great but is pretty dubious as to its effectiveness. In light of those experiences, I had heard nothing but good things about the taste of Syntha-6 and I can confirm that this stuff does indeed taste damn good. Given the amount of carbs, fat, and corn syrup solids in it, I suspected it probably would taste good. Cold Swiss Miss hot chocolate is a good reference for how you can expect this to taste. Ive also tried the vanilla flavor and while I prefer the cake batter, vanilla was fairly tasty, didnt have as much of a chemical taste as some vanillas do. Additionally, I have no issues with dairy/lactose/gluten all that stuff so I cant give any reflection on what effects it has on someone with a sensitivity to any of that. The second factor was price; I have never had too much of a budget for these sorts of things. Its cheaper than a lot of proteins that I have seen. Most any protein powder with a reasonable price and good taste is going to contain artificial sweeteners and those things, and this is no exception. Overall, the comparatively high levels of fat and carbs in this mean it is probably best for those looking to gain weight as they train and also for people looking to use these things as meal replacements. Price is decent, making this a good value in my estimation. There are better options out there, but there are also a ton of lesser options as well.

I have been weightlifting for a year now, but only recently have I started to get serious. I have lost 40 lbs, but part of my weight-training goal is to gain strength and I certainly wasnt accomplishing this goal through weight-lifting alone. I started to research how to clean up my diet and this brought me around to searching for a protein supplement. After finding several other protein shakes to be distasteful, I was advised to look at Syntha-6. After trying a sample (which is rare enough to find in a GNC) I knew I had found my protein shake. In this month, I have noticed incredible results in strength- its like my body was completely prepped but lacked the proper building blocks. Positives: Many, but here are some that appealed most to me. -Taste: The strawberry milkshake is fantastic mixed with water (preferably ice cold to simulate an actual milkshake). I have heard and often used the comparison to a McDonalds strawberry milkshake- which is quite a leap above many other protein powders. I thought my sweet-tooth would be a huge handicap in achieving my fitness goals, but this protein shake really feels like I am treating myself after every workout. My 20 oz shaker bottle is usually empty by the time I am leaving the gym parking lot. -The nutritional value in a double serving can serve as a quick meal on-the-go (although I am currently at 6 small meals a day, one of these is usually a protein shake and possibly something small). -Going from a protein bar to Muscle Milk, I found a slight decrease in my recovery time. My first run with Syntha-6, I completed a brutal leg workout that I thought would have me wincing at the mere sight of the stairs in my house the next day. Although I still felt the work-out, I was able to complete my second day of training with some cardio thrown in without issue. Syntha-6 has not let me down yet for improving recovery time. -This was the perfect price for me. After searching other stores (bodybuilding.com, GNC, etc.) I found Amazon to have the best price and with free shipping it was a no-brainer. To give a good idea, using 4 servings daily (early day and post-workout) the 5.04 lb lasted just over a month (roughly 5 weeks). Time to get more! Negatives: The few and far between. -Mixability. I will be the first to admit that this is a rough shake to mix up. With a spoon and a glass it is nearly impossible. I had success with a blender, but I didnt really want to bring a portable electronic blender to the gym. This was a very quick fix however, as I got a blender bottle (recommended to purchase on Amazon or Wal-Mart) with the little wire ball and... Boom. Mixes great, although if the bottle is damp (recently washed) the powder has a tendency to absorb the droplets and congeal to those spots and sometimes mixing those out can be tough. -What to mix with? I recommend ice-cold water, but I did try it with both regular and soy milk. I was REALLY hoping the taste would come through in the soy milk, as it has greater nutritional value than regular milk. That was the only time I had to choke down a syntha-6 shake. In regular milk, it tastes similar to the Nesquik strawberry milk. -Scoop size. I know this is dumb, but the scoop is considerably large. I am going to estimate it to be about 3/4 of a cup (more or less?). I think this is part of the problem that people have with mixing it up. It suggests 8 oz of water per scoop and I have to dilute it a bit more than that... But this also helps get in my daily quota of H2O. Would I recommend this? Definitely.

I believe the Macro nutrient profile qualifies this more as a light meal replacement than a pure and simple protein powder. People compare this to a Mcdonalds milkshake or a shake from a restaurant. I wouldnt go that far. Does it taste like a Milkshake? well, the taste is pretty good. Keep in mind that my favorite protien powder is Muscle milk orange cream which taste like those old ice cream Push ups. I purchased the Chocolate and strawberry shake and I will say that compared to other PURE (thats the key word) protien powders this is tasty, Mixes easy, and most of all is very easy to drink. Ive been in the bodybuilding world for 20 years and have tasted and used the most horrid tasting products for the sake of results. If taste is whats keeping you from having your protien I think youll be happy with this. I am using it with skim milk as a meal replacement because I dont really think this product qualifies and a pure protien product in that they have added fiber and good fats to enhance the flavor. Yes, the carbs mainly come from Fiber and the fats are MCTs and EFAs which make them just fine. Do you get results? Well Im using this protien 2-3 times daily to controll caloric intake and in the last couple of weeks with minimal cardio I have lost 7lbs and its been very easy because this powder keeps my blood sugar stable. So, in my opinion this is good stuff and I will be using it as a staple in my diet because I no longer tolerate nasty tasting powders. I would recommend this powder and despite many of the reviews making it sound like this tastes like a milkshake from your favorite shop...it doesnt...But it does taste like a milkshake compared to other protien powders and Meal replacements. Toss in a multivitamin, some milk, and you have a nice meal replacement with blood sugar stabilizing protien and good fats along with some much needed Fiber.
