It works just like you would expect it to puts out a decent amount of heat.

The face is smaller than I expected but it gets hot at about 650 degrees for the 100 watt. Yes, ceramic emitters get that hot. I decided to check after it turned a pot holder that I set it on, started to brown. For the money, these are a great value. Considering I payed $40 for one at the pet store. The face was about 4 across compared to these at only 3+. Ive only been running it for about 3 days so I cant speak to the durability. But these generally last a long time.

Bought this for turtle in larger 75gallon tank, the cermaic bulb gives out heat as described, only one drawback is it keeps heating for ever and increase the basking surface more then 90deg. In short not required for turtle since they prefer to sleep in water instead at night time :( . A day time UVB light bulb is more then enough.

I bought these ceramic bulbs after I went to Petco and seen that one 150w ceramic bulb costed 35$... (I needed two ceramic bulbs for the two heat lamps I also bought, for my hedgehog.. I got these bulbs, w a pack of 2 heat lamps, and a little heat thermometer for 35$!!!) these bulbs were very nice, not too heavy and did not smell when I first used them... they heated up nicely and overall would recommend

Didn’t get hot at all. Completely went cold 5 minutes later and did not heat up. Waste of money
