Greater than one weekMy intake vent has high airflow so I wanted a filter with low resistance, which this filter has. Another plus is the BNX is electrostatically charged filter material which provides better particle capture. My impression is that the air in my house is cleaner, and I have not sneezed since installing it. Comparing it to a popular premium filter brand I got from the local retail store, I can see that the cardboard frame on the BNX is not as sturdy or precisely built, but it fits in my system fine and does the job, and is significantly less cost, so Im happy with it. Recommended.

> 3 dayThese are Merv 8 filters which puts them in the middle of the scale. They actually do a pretty good job of filtering the air. I use them a little differently than most people. I have bad allergies yet live with dogs and cats. We have hot water heat so there is no duct work. To use a bunch of hepa air filters gets kind of expensive so I make my own filters using twenty inch box fans and twenty by twenty furnace filters. Even though they are much larger than most room filters the actual filter is less expensive. While some people tape the filter to the fan I use J channel and these fit great. Because they have an electrostatic charge they work very well. With a twenty by twenty filter the room air is cleaned quickly.

> 3 dayHard to write a review on a filter. Its just what you would expect buying one of these at the store except it comes in a nicely wrapped plastic bag. I dont usually go for the high value filters and this one should be comparable with the paper insert and the filtration standards shown on the label.

> 3 dayI did some research on MERV. I found that 8 is to be used in Industrial workplaces and paint booth inlets. Using the wrong MERV is detrimental to your system. Do you due diligence and decide what is correct for your situation. As for me, these are very good commercial grade filters that do as advertised.

> 3 dayI got these BNX 14x20 air filters for my house, they come in a pack of four. With a baby and a toddler at home, I am more concerned about the air quality, and I am replacing the furnace filters regularly. The size was perfect and they fit well in the dedicated space of my furnace. The installation was easy, just placing the filter (after removing the plastic and the label) in the specific location, paying attention to match the direction of the air flow arrow on the filter with the direction of the airflow on the furnace. The filter should be changed every three months, and monthly during the time of year when the furnace is used intensively, such as during winter months. The filter has a MERV (minimum efficiency reporting values) rating of 8, indicating superior filtration. Higher MERV indicates better filtration. I highly recommend this air filter pack!

> 3 daySometimes the corners on these catch, these seem pretty stable. Ive no way of knowing if it is doing a better job than the last filter, it is catching dust, that is all I ask.
