> 3 dayThese air filters fit as expected and are working well. If you dont know much about air filters, heres some information I recently learned: BNX is the seller/manufacturer (based in Houston, TX). MERV stands for Minimum Efficiency Reporting Values and is a standardized way to measure how many particles a filter will capture. A MERV 8 rated filter captures at least 84.9% of particles between the sizes of 0.3 and 10 microns. A higher rated filter will capture a higher percentage of particles. Many experts say that a MERV 8 filter is good enough for most average homes, and a higher rated filter may actually restrict the air flow of your furnace too much. You should use the rating of filter recommended by your furnace manufacturer, and make sure to change your filter on a regular basis. This brand and rating of filter has worked well at my house, even with several dogs (which requires more frequent filter changes). Hope that helped!

> 3 dayI ordered the BNX 20 x 25 x 1 air filters for my heater a/c. These are electrostatic pleated ac/heating filters. Filter captures pet dander, allergens, dust, line, mold and dust mites. Filter touts clear air in your house in 48 hours. The old filters I have let a lot of these items pass through so I was anxious to order these. They are very well made and when I compare them to filters at the store, these filters are on the top end of the scale but they come in a 9 pack for $68.99. Thats $7.67 a piece. For this grade of a filter its a big savings to the pocket book and gives you better filtering for you heater/ac. They fit very well in the filter slot and are very well made.

> 3 dayWhen we had our furnace installed, they told us not to use the highly restrictive air filters to extend the life of the furnace. These filters are a good middle of the road option. The cost is reasonable for this type of filter. It seems like a nice quality and captures a good amount of material and still breathes well. I like the fact that these are made in the U.S.A. These filters are a good choice.

> 3 dayPicked up these 20x20x1 filters to mount on a box fan as a quick n dirty air purifier. WHATS IN THE BOX? • Merv 8 rated 20x20x1 inch wave element air filters. POSITIVE • Size is perfect for mounting on a box fan to provide auxiliary air cleaning. • Filter element is wire reinforced to withstand high flow rate without deformation. NEGATIVE • I found no negatives in testing this product. NEUTRAL • Merv is a filtration scale, you will most commonly find filters rated from 4 to 16. It includes 3 tiers of particle size ranges that are most often referenced, all measurements are in microns. The size ranges are as follows 10.0 to 3.0, 3.0 to 1.0, and 1.0 to 0.30 MERV 8 is the first rating that touches the 3.0 to 1.0 size range, capturing up to 20%. Every step up in filtration has a correlative drag on air flow. Hence why 8 is considered a good balance when neither the need for maximum flow nor maximum filtration with their respective downsides is required. When used in a two stage apparatus this may serve well as a pre filter for a more discrete filter down the line. ADDITIONAL NOTES • If mounting on a fan there are companies that sell 90° aluminum brackets and oversized rubber bands for easy mounting and replacement. I am cheap so some 90° bent corregated card board and bungee cords or cheap twine is good enough for me. • The EPA website has an easy to read document which explanations the MERV scale in detail. WHY 5 STARS? As stated above these filters are a great balance point on the MERV scale. In a single filter setup, go down the scale to increase air flow, reducing filtration. Likewise go up the scale to decrease flow rate and boost filtration. If you have any questions, put them here and I will do my best to answer them.

28-10-2024Not much to say ... its an air filter ... its sized correctly and fits properly ... build is a bit flimsy, but as long as it functions as it should I have no complaints .... Pleased with this product ... would recommend to others ...

> 3 dayEdited to add: After using the filter for several days, I have found that the issues I noted below really do not impact the effectiveness/functionality of the filter. Furthermore, the seller reached out promptly to remedy my dissatisfaction. I am changing my overall rating from 2 to 3 stars. I will definitely give this product/seller another chance. These are the lowest quality HVAC filters I have ever used. The filters feel flimsy and not well made. Out of the box, the cardboard is detaching from the frame (see photo) and does NOT inspire confidence. 2 of the filters in the pack are not labeled with the MERV rating. Saving grace is the filters fit perfectly in my 14 x 25 HVAC vent and seem to work fine. I often use “budget” HVAC filters to save a few bucks, but I am very disappointed with these filters. I do not recommend this product.

> 3 dayFilters seem durable and the construction done well. Arrow for proper placement. Date range label to keep track. Accordion like pleat. Metal bracket. Merv 8 which is a decent number. I usually go for 13, but I believe anything 8+ is made well enough to filter a lot. Fit is good. We have this size in the wall for the HVAC and a larger 20x25x1” on the ceiling. I have used these before and they seem to filter well. They stand up well and have fairly strong materials. Good deal with many in a pack which I appreciate, filter scan be very expensive even if they don’t work well.

> 3 dayI like the fact that it can trap common household dust and dirt. Hopefully it will also help keep my ducts and ductwork clean as well as the overall house.
