> 3 daySSD died after casual use for less than 1 year. Going to have to buy a new one, replace myself and reinstall Windows. Extremely unfortunate how little life this laptop actually had for the money spent.

> 3 dayAt 72 , my old laptop broke, and this one filled the gap perfectly! Its lightweight, backlit, and works well for online shopping, bill paying, and learning! The only glitch for me was how low volume the speakers were, but the Audio Wizard fixed that - wish I could say exactly how it worked, but for me it was just hit or miss until I got the sound level where I wanted it! All in all, a great, inexpensive computer for seniors like me!

> 3 dayLike many of the reviews said, the volume is not very loud, but sound is not something I use my computer for a lot. I have a bluetooth speaker that can give me all the volume I want when I do want it. I think the screen is nicer than what some had described, especially at the price point this computer came in at. Also like many reviews said, the keyboard is not backlit as it is described, unless Im missing something to turn it on. This was not really a big deal to me, but wish it wouldnt be in the description if it dont have it. Otherwise, Ive had it for a few days and am enjoying it very much. For what I paid it seems very fast for my use and a great value.

28-10-2024I was super excited to get my wife a new laptop for her birthday because our old ones screen is cracked and she has to use the hdmi and hook it up to the tv. I let the new one charge up and go to turn it on and I can hear it talking but the screen is a true black, i hook it up through the hdmi and whatya know, it works like that, the one thing I was trying to avoid is whats wrong with it. I cant speak on how good the laptop is but Im hesitant on buying it again after I return it but then again my lucks just bad and cant catch a break so it probably doesnt matter what I get, theres gonna be something wrong.

> 3 dayWhile I did look at several brands. ASUS was my first choice when I was browsing laptops for my daughter. I chose this one over a DELL and an ACER, and she loves it. And I have full confidence it will last for as long as she is in college. ASUS is a really solid company as far as laptops in my experience. I bought my first one in 2009. Then I upgraded to my current one in 2016. I have seen reviews about how horrible their customer service can be. However, I cannot speak to that since in all the years I have been an ASUS user. I have never needed to contact them. So when it comes time to upgrade my laptop again, ASUS will be my first choice.
