I bought this to go with the IPad I bought for my husband for his birthday. He really loves it.

Just two years after purchase, and one year out of warranty, the keyboard no longer connects with my iPad. I worked with Apple support to try to address the issue. They had no answers, but asked for the serial number to continue with possible options. Of course, I no longer had my paperwork and the serial number, which, for some inexplicable reason Apple had printed on the fabric of the keyboard, had rubbed off and was no longer readable. After some effort, I was able to find the serial number by working with Apple’s sales group because I had the date of my purchase. Still, once I had the serial number, all they could do was offer to have me send it into Genius support at the closest Apple store, nearly 50 miles away, at a cost of $135, with no guarantee that the problem could be addressed. Very disappointing!

Like a majority of apple products, the quality is excellent. However the longevity is another story..ive now been through about 3 of these...yes it gets heavy use...i use it all day for 5 days a week for work..and ive been through 3 of them in a little over a year. They all have the same issue...keystrokes start to not work. You have to detach it and reconnect..works fine....till it doesnt. The first signs is it not working and you needing to put it on and off. Then it just refuses to work even after a few attemptss and then it just stops.

This was to replace a 5-year-old similar keyboard and it works superbly well, making life so much easier to input text and data on my iPad. Hopefully this will last at least 5 years.

Datos curioso no viene con la protección de la parte trasera, tendrás que comprarle una o ponerle una mica de protección a la IPad.

We had to replace the original keyboard, which was the same exact keyboard, because it stopped working properly. There is a way to take it apart and attempt to fix it, but it is challenging and destructive to the design. We did decide to get the exact same keyboard for my wifes iPad simply because this one is the model made for this particular unit. Dissatisfied that the keyboard didnt last the life of the iPad, which seems like that should be a minimum expectation. Apple should be able to make a better product for the price you have to pay.

This is beyond wretched for an Apple product. The magnetic connection is weak, and the keyboard is too dark when trying to use it. How did they come up with such poor functionality? Was there a warehouse full of old floppy discs that had to be cleared out so they melted then down into this? So disappointed. If you try, watch for the very short return window. I only had 15 days. No compensation for this review.

My 11year old daugther use it for school and plays games on it with her iPad 7 .
