Apple Smart Keyboard: iPad Keyboard and case for iPad Pro 10.5-inch, iPad Air (3rd Generation), and iPad (7th, 8th, and 9th Generation), Comfortable Typing Experience, US English - Black

I started out with a 3rd party keyboard because of its features and ended up disappointed by its flaws. The Apple Smart Keyboard is great!!

I returned this because my wife wanted something more upright for typing. Otherwise it seemed okay.

I bought this to go with the IPad I bought for my husband for his birthday. He really loves it.

I had the fortune of using Logitech keyboard case with my previous iPad. This Apple keyboard isnt as nice to use for the following reasons: the keyboard strokes are shallow, which doesnt feel as substantial as the Logitechs keys. When laid out, the keyboard isnt sitting flat on my desk, so there is an unwelcome bounce. Lastly, the case doesnt protect the backside of the iPad when folded up. The Logitech does.

I had another model that was listed as an Amazon favorite. It had a larger keyboard plus more features. Unfortunately it started to have problems with extraneous characters feeding to the screen. Not really any fixes for it, so I went ahead and got the Apple brand smart keyboard. It is smaller, a lot fewer features, and a small footprint, which I dont particularly care for. It is very sturdy, true to Apple products, and does not require any USB charging.

Did not like them.

Never could find a manual for the Apple Smart keyboard for the Ipad seventh generation, am not familiar with the Apple keyboard in general, so could not figure out how to get to certain characters. Worse still, some figures (like the plus sign) did not come up when the key on which the figure appeared printed something else. As with other keyboards, mis-hitting a key could take you away from what you were typing and it was not obvious how to return to it.
