I started out with a 3rd party keyboard because of its features and ended up disappointed by its flaws. The Apple Smart Keyboard is great!!

This product arrived brand new in the authentic apple packaging. It worked perfectly upon connecting to my iPad. So happy to have a new keyboard. It will make college course work so much smoother.

Flimsy, cannot change volume from keyboard, only covers screen of iPad, poor value for money, not a patch on my previous Logitech keyboard & case, (unfortunately not available for iPad 8th generation).

Very misleading.

I tried this on a whim. Never knew I needed a keyboard on my iPad. Opens up a lot of new ways to use it, like SSHing into my NAS. who wants to type commands on a touchscreen?!

I usually dont write reviews, but I absolutely need to this time. Ive had 1st generation iPad Pro for 4 years now, with the Apple smart keyboard and it replaced my laptop it is so good. When I got my 8th gen iPad, I knew the keyboard is a no brainer. The fact that it doesnt have to be charged, and is always on when connected is great, and it types very nicely... HOWEVER... the one I ordered didnt work. Like at all. I tried to connect it (magnetic click) close to 100 times, and twice it registered the keyboard as working. I scanned the reviews and I noticed someone write they purchased 2, and one didnt work but one did. Thankfully, Amazon is AMAZING with returns. I opted for a replacement, it showed up in less than 2 days, and I am dropping mine off today at Kohls for the return, I marked as defective. The replacement works perfectly by the way.
