> 3 dayI just got my Triton 500 yesterday (with the 2070 Super, couldnt afford to go higher). I have to say this thing is incredible! Ive been searching for a gaming laptop for awhile, and tried just about every one. This gaming PC has won the competition! It games like a dream. I cant believe its a laptop! It games the same as my desktop PC, if not better.

> 3 dayIve had this laptop since august 5th now. the laptop runs very well in terms of gaming performance. plenty of space too, which i love. doesnt stay charged for more than 2 to 2.5 hours at best but I dont mind because I need the break anyway. I knew how long it ran after a single charge and dont mind at all.

09-11-2024The Acer Predator Triton 500 is extremely fast. A lot of my gaming is Warframe which this handles beautifully, but to put this laptop through its paces I also ran Doom Eternal, Borderlands 3, and Quake Champions. Theyre as smooth as butter. Compared to other gaming laptops I appreciate the slim form factor and the weight. It seems like Acer really tried to keep this as compact as possible while keeping the 15.6 screen. I do have a few minor gripes. I wish the built-in management software had more configurable options for the keyboard backlight, but it does have lots of other things you can tweak that other management software like HPs currently doesnt like customize your boot-up image and fan speeds. The laptop also comes with a little bit of bloatware, but I always appreciate an 25gb boost to my Dropbox for another year. It says a lot that these are the only two things I can really complain about. This laptop is awesome. I love it, and I think you will too.

> 3 dayOn paper, the Predator Triton 500 SE seems like the ideal powerhouse laptop, and it very well could be for advanced content creators. The most demanding gamers, however, will need to decide if the power-constrained graphics chip is a worthwhile trade-off for the laptop’s thin and light design.

14-11-2024If I’m just writing a lazy letter or polishing off a opponent using the most up to date hardware with a three hundred Hz refresh rate that just gave me the edge to do so. It does both with very little fanfare. There is a reason it’s called a Predator Triton five hundred. with a capital P. It’s on par with other top of the line gaming computers on the market currently. It was easily set up as a computer voice that really puts you at ease talks you through setup. First thought the computer sort of growled and set the keys aflame with fire as they transversed about on the keyboard. It’s a awesome start to what’s going to be a thrill ride to remember. I first called and hammered out the warranty with the company as it is a computer and things do go wrong periodically and knowing what’s expected of me and return policy etc, etc……sooo all that’s in order. Past bad experiences have ingrained warranty fanfare as a first necessity with computer ownership. I’ve been using it for about a week and I’m getting quality performance from whatever I do. If I add a app it just sings and there it is, if I want to cruse through a heavy program that requires a lot of RAM, there it is with just a little a of a whirling blade to be heard. But when I start a game and fast is what’s needed I just kick the Turbo button and I can hear the blades start getting rid of the heat I’m causing during play and at the set point I appointed. Or I leave it to itself to monitor and determine what’s needed automatically. I mostly will be using that because I love set and forget computer automatics because then I can concentrate on other things that have to be done manually and I have to remember them. I could here it cycle without my input during play. The graphics are a definite show pleaser and my eyes were transfixed with solid color rendering that made games and music videos hypnotically additive but very much enjoyable. My thirteen point four inch old laptop just can’t compete with the predator at any level. It’s still a good computer (Yawn) but it’s probably going to get pushed further and further into the back of my closet and as time goes by my future self that now lives in a robot finds it and has a good laugh. In other words the Predator Triton 500 meets the hype I read on it and exceeds it brilliantly. Battery life is what is expected for a gaming laptop of this caliber and if you need more than a few hours of laptop time then pass this one up and I’ve got a thirteen point four inch one with ten hours of battery life for sale. Update (21 September 2020) I’m having a very fun time playing games that require fast paced moving and I’m really having a blast. The resolution and colors make it a pleasure to play. I’m not really bothered by the fans as they work to keep the heat away and for this type of computer it’s expected. It’s a fun computer for a ton of different types of gaming and I can even do my bills blazing fast as well, although THAT just isn’t as fun. Five Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!

> 3 dayDont buy this Laptop! It has a problem with the gpu/motherboard. Green boxes appear all over the screen, I am unable to open games, and CAD modeling program! I installed the newest gpu driver, then it was OK for 2 restarts, and then the green boxes occured again!

> 3 dayIts a powerhorse of a laptop. You will most likely never hit the maximum refresh rate of 300hz, but thats where the G-sync comes in so youll have virtually no screen-tear. Surprisingly cool since it does have three fans inside. Just be aware that you pretty much need to have it plugged in at all times to do anything.

> 3 dayIt’s odd for a brand new computer to come with check contents if seal is broken disclaimer and for the seal to be broken so overtly does not make instill any sort of confidence in the device I will be using.

Greater than one weekIf you purchase this laptop DO NOT use it on your lap or on a soft plastic surface. I had two and they both had the same heat problem. The bottom of the laptop would become way to hot to even touch and it would heat up very easy and quickly. you could of course run it on turbo and this would reduce some felt heat but be advised turbo is very loud. I am quite sure the bottom would get hot enough to melt soft plastic. At 61c or 141.8f a burn can happen in seconds. I love acer, i use a acer swift1 it has lasted me for years with abuse and its what im writing this review on. I cannot recommend the acer predator triton 500 knowing the risk associated with it.
