Didnt get to use it much.

This thin laptop is a beast and weighs near nothing. Yes it can get warm while gaming, thats kind of obvious not sure why people are complaining about that when its meant for gaming/thin/a laptop. Ive plugged it into my 2560 curved monitor and it held its own like a desktop. Overall in love with this thing and hope it has some longevity in it! Highly recommend!

The Acer - Predator Triton 500 SE 16 2560x1600 165Hz Laptop with Intel 11th Gen i7 processor, GeForce RTX 3060 GPU, 16GB DDR4 RAM, and 512GB SSD is an absolute beast! At first glance it seemed boring, bland, straightforward, and very simple, things that a gaming computer shouldnt ever be. The power button was replaced, or so I thought, with a Turbo button and like every kid-at-heart thats been told not to push the red button, I pushed the red button once past the setup process. This Acer Predator Triton 500 SE gaming laptop is amazing. From the moment it started up, I love it. It feels very well built, sturdy and yet thin for a gaming laptop. There are well ventilated sides, but it also looks sleek and yet something youd see in a transformer movie...in a good way. Keyboard: The keyboard works fairly well for gaming, though most purists will likely use an external one anyway. If you will be using it for gaming, I suggest disabling the touch pad otherwise you will inadvertently cause it to trigger (I dont know of a way to do this only while a specific app is running).

I received the laptop back after a two week turnaround, from the time I dropped it off with FedEx to when I got it back two days ago. According to the repair order, they had to replace the entire main board, probably due to the NVIDIA GPU being faulty. The machine is working flawlessly (hope Im not jinxing myself) so I will give it 4 stars, knocking 1 off because of Acers poor initial QC and the relative hassle of being without my computer for two weeks.

This slim and dense laptop packs a six core CPU that can turbo up to 5ghz, a 2070 super, and all the LEDs to light up a carnival into a laptop with a great screen. The heft and performance mean business, though the loud startup sound and fireworks display on the keyboard betrays a bit more whimsy. It can fill both niches nicely, as can it be a portable desktop replacement. I say portable, but at a very dense 5lbs (feels much heavier) and with a 4 hour battery life, its not a typical laptop. Between the low base CPU speed and the various max Q tricks used by the GPU, it can and does make sacrifices to allow for this portability. Most evident is the 230watt power pack, which is ridiculous for a laptop, but the GPU alone could draw more on the desktop, but upgradability is another issue.

The laptop is amazing so far, BUT all stickers are not straight! Not a single one of them!

It comes in a very nice packaging, I was very excited when opening it. It seems to be very well made and professional looking. Unfortunately mine came damaged and I do not have the option to exchange it for a working model through Amazon

This is an excellent gaming laptop. It is thin, light, the screen is gorgeous, and the chassis looks fantastic. However being thin and light the thermals are always going to be terrible. If you use the discrete GPU this laptop will heat up to around 90 degrees for the CPU and GPU quickly doing even basic tasks such as web browsing, reading emails, or youtube. You will not be sitting with this on your lap at these temps it is painfully hot. This Triton ships with discrete GPU always on in the PredatorSense menu. Turn that off and it will only use the discrete GPU when needed (for gaming). This allows this laptop to maintain a much more comfortable 35 - 40 degree temp for everyday tasks and remains very quiet with low fan speeds at these lower temps.

The computer is Perfect, however the delivery was a botch! It was to come on Teusday but it came Monday. We had to travel to the UPS drop-off place to get it.

This laptop has exceeded my initial expectations. Able to push 80+ FPS while keeping my GFX settings set high on all games Ive tried thus far (Borderlands 3, Doom Eternal, and FF14).
