Changing my review, great lap top. I did have a couple issues where the keyboard had stopped working, but then started again. A lot of the letters have been rubbed off due to a lot of use, I bought sticky letters to go over the ones that are gone. Otherwise, the lap top itself has been great.

This is my first Acer. For someone who viewed Acer as a budget brand, this Predator Triton 500 SE has significantly changed my mind. It’s not perfect, but this is a very nice laptop! It’s expensive, but it’s still inline or even costs less than other brands with similar configurations.

Tl;dr Acer Predator Triton 500 (PT516-52S-73YD) has quality control issues. Heat dissipation from the GPU goes through the w,a,s,d keys on the keyboard making for VERY uncomfortable gaming unless you use an external keyboard. GPU started glitching after a week of use. Acer warranty support technicians couldn’t fix it after 3 attempts and 6 weeks of back-and-forth with their repair center. The technicians damaged the laptop during the repairs. Acer Corporate Support tried to replace it with an inferior machine (Acer Nitro 5 with lower specs), which I refused, and Acer has so far refused to issue a refund.

Paid ~$1300 for this on sale from $1800 and got a quality machine for the price. I mostly use it for MMO gaming -- Elder Scrolls Online and Final Fantasy XIV. I play some twitchier games like Warframe and Pinball.

Pros: Fast business Laptop and great gaming PC. Plenty of memory and HD space. Great graphics because of the GeForce board with its own memory. Good sound card if you use a quality headset.

My favorite laptop. It is incredibly powerful and can handle anything. The battery life is pretty short though without the charger.

I purchased this during Prime Day and I couldnt be happier. No issues, runs every piece of software Ive thrown at it. Emulates games perfectly, the sound is surprisingly crisp for laptop speakers. 10/10 would recommend.

This may be one of the nicest laptops I have ever had. I’ve never put much stock in Acer brand devices. To me it has just been a lackluster company. But wow! There are so many things I like about this laptop.
