Laptop performs great. Youll be able to run pretty much any AAA title at Max - Ultra at reasonable frame rates. Cooling much better then the 2018 model and I didnt notice any thermal throttling. You are unable to upgrade the Nvidia driver manually. You must use GeForce experience. 144hrz display is good not great but for the price its unbeatable. Average backlight bleed which is typicall for IPS. Little to no screen tearing without vsync. No GSYNC which is fine. Speakers better then expected for type of laptop. Fan is loud but not piercing under load. Keyboard is soft but deliberate, great for typing. Very intrusive junkware had to be removed so notifications werent popping up every 20 minutes, annoying but typical. Laptop is thinner then the more expensive ASUS & MSI competition. The half metal case is confidence inspiring. The bottom is very easy to remove with a few screws and gives you quick access to all replaceable parts Normally I would not buy an Acer but their Predator line shows quality they have not shown in the past. Im disappointed its not RGB like it was advertised on Acers website (cross-referenced specific model #) but for the performance its not too upsetting. Would recommend as long as the quality lasts as long as it looks good.

Ill start this by saying that I use Linux primarily. as such my typical battery life is worse than on windows, but the battery under typical usage surfing the web and listening to music while using a word processor lasts around 4 hours.

Absolutely amazing. This may be a bit bias considering that I had a cheap laptop before this, but my brother had the generation of Helios 300 before this one, and I can tell this is way better. Best specs for the price.

It is a great PC for gaming, its the cheapest pc that I have found that has a GTX 1660ti, great specs for the price it has, Ive been using it for a couple of months now and I havent had any trouble with it, no throttle issues as with previous versions and the extra m.2 slot fits perfectly for my needs.

I have spent around 6 months looking at computers and trying to find something good for me that will last at least 3 years, after I did my research and looked at every laptop on the market that is around 1000$ that is good for the money, then this Helios 300 came out recently although I was about to get the older one... now after 2 weeks of using this laptop, I can summarize my experience with this device:

I got this laptop on sale. Its one of the best laptops I ever got. It ran all games on highest settings with no issues. Although if you want the max performance you have to keep your laptop plugged in. The only flaw I could find was battery life. Most of the times I use this for gaming but also for college, battery life was the only problem I ran into with this laptop. It didnt suck but it wasnt that good either. When gaming the battery ran out pretty fast, so whenever you have to game just plug in a charger so you dont have to worry about battery running out fast. Overall though a great laptop for the price.

Bought it in December 2019 and after 1 year and 3 months it is about time to move on to a new computer. Just recently the computer suffered from several bluescreens (while watching youtube or clicking icons) and no bootable device found errors and boot time went up from 5 seconds to 15 seconds since first bought.
