> 24 hourBefore buying this computer, I had your average laptop and it was annoying to have to look at the technical specs required for every game that I wanted to play. I would always buy games that I wanted to play and then be unable to play them because I got poor frame rates. With the Acer Predator, I can almost literally buy any game out there, put it on max settings, and get like 100 fps, its insane. Also, 144 Hz monitors (like the Acer Predators) are so essential to me now, I had no idea what I was missing, but now I probably will never again buy a computer that doesnt have at least a 144 Hz monitor. The smoothness you get makes games and and other activities much more satisfying. The difference between a 60 Hz monitor and a 144 Hz monitor is like skateboarding on an asphalt road vs skateboarding on a polished gym floor.

> 24 hourTook 2 rounds of sending it to Acer for warranty repair in order to have it be a functional laptop. They had to replace the motherboard to fix the graphics and freeze-up issues it was having. So far, it seems to be working after that second round of repair.

> 24 hourThis laptop is the best when it comes to value. Great screen, and its a lot thinner and lighter than it looks. And the trackpad is superb. I find myself unknowingly ditching my MX Master for the trackpad. The refresh is butter. In terms of battery, Im getting around 3 - 4 hours consistently. Not sure how people are getting 6 hours. Finally, if you do a clean install, remember to undervolt the CPU. Out of the box, its undervolted at 0.125v. Mine is undervolted at 0.128v.

> 24 hourThis thing is awesome and epicly fast. I went above and beyond a normal laptop because my $600 Dell was a piece of crap. This thing is amazing and totally worth it. Only feature I wish was added was RGB instead of just the light blue. All in all, this beast is quick and the m2 drive makes it load up instantly. She never shows any signs of struggling even when playing Overwatch on Ultra. Pretty decent laptop

> 24 hourGranted Ive only had this laptop in my possession for a couple of days, but so far I like it a lot. Gaming on a 15.6 screen will take some getting used to. (My previous gaming laptops were ASUS ROG models with 17 inch screens, and my desktop has a 27 monitor.) but the picture quality is the best Ive seen. The Predator has some great components with the 9th gen i7 processor, the Nvidia 1660 Ti GPU, 16 GB of RAM and an NVMe SSD. The SSD is 256 GB so I added a Seagate Firecuda 2TB hybrid drive for an additional expense of $80. In addition, the Killer networking hardware/software seems to work very well.

> 24 hourWhen I bought this laptop during the Prime event in July of 2019 for $1000 (usually $1,100-$1,200 around the time before the sell) and its a pretty good value for the hardware even without the sell. Being a OTR trucker and missing my desktop at home, this was a pretty good laptop to pull out on 34 hour resets or anytime with enough downtime for my 3 hour gaming sessions. Played a bit GTA5 to see what it can do, as well a lot of Planet Coaster and Cities Skyline, Minecraft with modpacks and shaders, & X-Plane 11. Just what my desktop at home can do, this Helios 300 can do just as well. The only thing I havent tried is VR.
