> 3 dayAbsolutely amazing. This may be a bit bias considering that I had a cheap laptop before this, but my brother had the generation of Helios 300 before this one, and I can tell this is way better. Best specs for the price.

> 3 dayI have had this for a few weeks now and Love it. The software automatically enables or disables the internal graphics card so when Im just writing it can last 3 hrs plus. I havent tried to run the battery down yet but it seems like it could easily last 4- 5 hrs just doing school work. On the gaming side of things the 1660 is a pretty great graphics card. So far everything seems to run on max settings just fine. The software automatically swaps between the onboard gpu and the standalone card so it manages battery and performance well. The only game I had issues with was minecraft. Seemed the name of the launcher and the actually program running it were different but I figured it out in the nvidia control panel so now I can even run the fancy shaders.

> 3 dayWhen I bought this laptop during the Prime event in July of 2019 for $1000 (usually $1,100-$1,200 around the time before the sell) and its a pretty good value for the hardware even without the sell. Being a OTR trucker and missing my desktop at home, this was a pretty good laptop to pull out on 34 hour resets or anytime with enough downtime for my 3 hour gaming sessions. Played a bit GTA5 to see what it can do, as well a lot of Planet Coaster and Cities Skyline, Minecraft with modpacks and shaders, & X-Plane 11. Just what my desktop at home can do, this Helios 300 can do just as well. The only thing I havent tried is VR.

11-11-2024I like the design, good quality of materials, the awesome cooling system, the true HD screen... just about all of it. I mainly use it to learn and practice CAD, FEA, CFD, CAM. Note: you definitely don’t need a workstation to learn and do small size designs.

> 3 dayBought it in December 2019 and after 1 year and 3 months it is about time to move on to a new computer. Just recently the computer suffered from several bluescreens (while watching youtube or clicking icons) and no bootable device found errors and boot time went up from 5 seconds to 15 seconds since first bought.

> 3 dayThis guy lives up to the hype if youre looking for a very good gaming laptop. Easily Im able to play Rainbow Six Siege or any other game at 60+ frames even while recording using the integrated Xbox gaming bar recording at 60fps and its always so buttery smooth. Of course itll havebto be plugged in about 24/7 if you want it to survive with all that power, and thats not even using the overclocking turbo button, gotta prepare yourself for that airplane jet engine noise as the fans kick into maximum overdrive but at the same time give you the most out of the Gtx 1060Ti inside. I wish I had enough to originally buy the RTX card but really I can see myself using this laptop for another +4 years till its maybe outdated tech wise. Even installing a secondary 1TB SSD it loads everything I throw at it instantly, fast gameplay, fast booting up time, I quickly frll in love with this baby <3

> 3 dayI travel a lot and go to many networking meetings. The first thing I noticed was this is MUCH heavier than my current laptop. (That being said, I paid a lot more for my lightweight 2.6 pound 15” laptop.) My current one also has an SSD drive and is 512GB, where as this is only 256 GB. But this one has an extra place to add a hard drive, so I imagine that if you put a good drive in here for all your data and it should work like a charm. (I will probably eventually do this, but I tend to work of external drives anyway.) It’s good not to have the data mixed in the same location as the programs anyway, so I don’t see this storage issue as that big a deal.

> 3 dayGreat gaming performance for price but screen has a yellow tint to it and the m.2 screws were so tight they ended up getting stripped when I was trying to remove them so now a got a 100$ ssd sitting around i cant use.

> 3 dayThought the computer would be damaged because of horrible shape of box when computer arrived. Even inner box was damaged.

13-11-2024Just look at a photo of the track pad. I need to practically put my right hand underneath my left hand in order to left click on the track pad.... and even then Im often right clicking on accident.
