> 24 hourI really like the computer just disappointed that amazon sent me a link to a free black ops 4 that did not work. Very unsatisfactory for amazing to offer something and have it not work. Customer service was no help.

> 24 hourI bought this laptop in 2019, and it was a good deal then for $999. Its honestly baffling they still have this i7-8750 (8th gen intel) & GTX 1060 for $1200. I just upgraded from this laptop to one that has a i7-12700 (4 generations newer) and a 3070 for $1300 from best buy. Ill mention the this one in the bottom of this message. If youre a first time gaming laptop buyer, dont get screwed by this offering. Also, amazon is like the best place to buy pretty much anything BUT gaming laptops. These things tend to be overpriced on here. Best Buy has some really good stuff. But if youre looking for the level of performance this listed laptop can bring, you can probably get it for less than $500. (Its still pretty good). But, if youre looking to spend $1200, you should be getting AT LEAST a 3060 and AT LEAST an i7-11700H (AT LEAST). Look up Best Gaming Laptops (Updated for [insert current month] 2022!) on reddit. That is the best resource.

> 24 hourGreat laptop especially for the price but it does not actually run at 144 Hz. It only projects to a 4K TV at 144 Hz. Pretty bad advertising there.

> 24 hourThe screen casing is coming apart. The casing is thin, lightweight plastic and other than that, there are only two small metal pins holding the screen to the laptop. With the casing coming apart, the screen literally comes loose from the laptop. Given the price of this laptop, it should be better quality. We are arranging to send this in for warranty repairs, which I dread because of online horror stories about the repair process. The initial email response from Acer implies that we must ship the laptop at our own expense, which would be ridiculous given that it is obviously poor manufacturing. I will reach out to them to see if they will be providing a prepaid shipping label, or if I will be held responsible to pay for shipping their defective product back to them. I will update with details on the repair process.

> 24 hourI purchased this laptop to be my gaming device while Im travelling. So far I have tested Battle Field 1 and Guild Wars 2 and was able to play at Ultra/Highest settings on both games at 60+ FPS (BF1 - Averaged 75 FPS, GW2 - Averaged 70 FPS). All of this was done without using the available overclocking that is configurable with Acers PredatorSense software. I purchased a 1 TB Samsung 860 EVO SSD to install in the 2.5 bay. After installation I found that the SATA+Power connector had a broken PCB (circuit board). I contacted Acers support and within 30 minutes they had put in an order to ship me out a new SATA+Power cable. I would like to note for those less technically inclined, they did offer for me to return the laptop and receive a completely new one. Since I know my way around a motherboard I chose to just replace the cable myself. So far Im very pleased with this laptop, for those who complained about the keyboard getting hot, this is a common issue on all gaming laptops. It can simply be fixed by setting the fan speed to max when playing video games. I just finished a 2 hour session of Battle Field 1 multiplayer and my keyboard is just slightly above room temperature. I have listed what I liked about the machine and what I didnt below as well as a summary of my review.

> 24 hourThe laptop arrived on time and was well packaged. The first day I was able to use it the 300 exceeded my expectations. Its a lightweight laptop with a terrific screen. The exterior looks real enticing and gives it that gamer look. The SSD it came with was only 256 GB so I installed my Steam games on an exterior SSD. When I closed it and later reopened the laptop the screen did not come back on. I let it sit for about 10 minutes and tried again and the screen came back. In the short time I had it I was able to play some games on it such as Dead By Daylight, Car Mechanic Sim 2018 and Rocket League. The laptop played them all with ease for the most part at 60 fps in 1080p, but had some stuttering once in a while. I had this laptop for about a week and was unable to try out another games as the screen blacked out after the logo loading screen popped up when booting up. I was really disappointed, but thankfully Amazon offered me a full refund and I am going to purchase a different laptop. This was the first and possibly last Acer product I will ever buy.

> 24 hourIssues with overheating, can’t even run a game on low setting without dropping down to 2 fps
