> 3 dayIts a very good Gaming Laptop, When I received it was working great for playing games and watching videos for the most part. But not to long after that the speakers or audio from this device decided to give up and make popping or crackling sounds from the speakers cause me not to hear or enjoy anything. Im not saying its bad or I just became one of the unlucky people who got this problem, but I tried everything to fix it with what I knew what to do and Im very interested in the technological field and grew up with computer devices. But overall its a good laptop to game with and do some other things on the side.

> 3 dayHad this laptop since 2020. Was a great laptop till it started having issues a year in. Unfortunately I was never able to get support with the laptop due to Acer having a database breach. They lost my serial number and thus I cant send it in for repairs. Not only that but this model is no longer listed on their website for support materials since 2023. So now I can no longer download drivers again. This thing has been having more and more issues. The mousepad is no longer functional. At this point I built up a gaming tower but it feels like a waste of money to buy a laptop that cant even last 5 years.

> 3 dayOnly had it for a day. Havent done much but set up and install some apps. I will be using this to make videos. And the program seems to run great. I have been using this for about 2 weeks. I have a driver issue and I tried everything to fix but it still isnt fixed. It doesnt seem to be a hinder. After having it for a few weeks, I noticed I have a low battery life. Not a bid deal since I only use it at home, but could be if used somewhere with no plug in available.

> 3 dayBeside the loud fans its a pretty decent gaming laptop. Battery life is lower than expected (1-2hours).

> 3 dayAfter a month of waiting my laptop finally came! I was so excited! While trying to get everything booted up the screen would continually go to black. Thinking this was a fluke I continued, but I was wrong. After finally getting all of my preferences set the computer would continually go to sleep. It’s easy enough to wake up. You press a button and then enter your pin. But it just keeps going to sleep on me. Sometimes after 10 minutes of use. Sometimes after five seconds of use. It’s basically unusable in the state. I had to call customer service several times to get a hold of someone who could speak clearly enough to help me and even they suggested to just get a refund directly from Amazon.

> 3 dayThey dont make things like they used to is the old adage that applies well to the Acer Predator Helios. My previous laptop (a Dell) was well built by comparison. There were no hardware issues for years. Then I bought the Predator Helios. To be sure, its fast and colorful - but its cheaply built. Within a few months the keyboard key symbols started to scratch off. Now the right fan buzzes and needs to be replaced. Sure, I could send it off to the Acer support center for repair, but I only have one computer, this laptop - I just need to live with it and watch this thing rapidly fall apart, unfortunately.
