> 3 daySince I do not often require the use of the sound system I will not deduct 1 STAR for a very lousy sound system!

> 3 dayBought this laptop before my last deployment. Worked very smoothly. Battery life is very short however but thats expected for a gaming laptop. I can get about 3 hours of casual browsing and streaming videos 100% battery. I can get about 1 hr of gaming on low settings before having to plug it in. Worth the buy.

29-10-2024My 4 year old Digital Storms fans went dead. I was faced with the choice of fixing the fans or getting a replacement for a system that was long in the tooth. When I saw this laptop with a much better video card than that in the old system I decided to see if it would work as a replacement. All my data were on external hard drives. I plugged them into the USB 3 ports. I used a USB hub to connect keyboard and mouse. My monitor was connected via the HDMI connector. External speakers were attached via the headphone plug. I plugged my internet router to the Ethernet port using an extender. My internet speeds were the same with the extender as they were before I used it.

Greater than one weekPerforms well, and not terribly loud. Marginal gains from overclocking at the expense of a dramatic increase in noise. Display is not quite as bright as I would like for a room with lots of natural light but the refresh rate is a plus. RAM and M.2 expansion is painless, however 2.5 SSD expansion is effectively impossible without finding the proper cable. After calling Acer, they pointed me to a third party that produces the proper cable. Too difficult to navigate their web page so I gave up. I have been through two cables from amazon, and they did not work.

> 3 dayI took my laptop to a repair shop about a week ago and come to find out my laptop was installed with a bad GPU cooling fan. In which the part cost about $170 on a brand new laptop. Needless to say, I will NEVER be buying a product from Predator again so many better deals on computers.

> 3 dayIve had this laptop for a pretty long time now and it’s the Best laptop ive ever owned. I love PC gaming and have a PC set up but knew I wanted a laptop that could handle some games if I was ever traveling. I honestly mostly use the laptop for watching videos, doing all my school work, and watching Hulu and it’s just such a great laptop. I’ve noticed the battery life isn’t anything crazy, depending on what you’re doing it can last a good while and warns you pretty up well when you need to charge before it’s too late

> 3 dayI have this laptop for a year now. (Bought it in July 2020) I first got it, it was great. After 2 months, I start to heard fan noise. I open it up, but there hardly any dust. So I clean the fan and put everything back. Then it was good for 2 weeks. After that, it start making the fan noise again. So, I open it up and check the metal fan( it was the one making all the noise). There were no dust or anything that can cause it to make that loud noise. I do some research on why its making that noise. It said if you clean it already and it still making that noise from time to time, then replace that fan. The metal fan(which is the Aeroblade 3D) will make the noise when starting up, but it stop making it after 15 or 20 minutes later. Its been going on like this for a while now.
