I chose the Acer Aspire from a list of those best suited for seniors. I am not a gamer nor a computer whiz. I keep up with Emails, relatives and friends on Facebook, shop and stream movies and tv programs. My last laptop, a Toshiba Satellite, finally gave up the ghost after nearly 10 years. Needing a new one, I started shopping around and eventually settled on the Acer. I wanted to stay with Windows 10 because its familiar and easy to use, and the Acer fills all the requirements I wanted. Gorgeous clarity, anti glare screen, backlit keyboard and all the features you could want. Beautiful machine. With my wireless mouse and external speakers, I have all I need. Wise purchase.

Needed a new laptop but didn’t want to spend a fortune since we don’t use it often. Bright screen, love the keyboard. Bought 8gb of RAM that my brother installed and it really speeds it up. Also purchased an inexpensive dvd drive which works well. Even with these extras, the cost was well below laptops that include these features. Very happy with it so far. (We don’t game on it but my brother bought it for his son who does. Over a year later and they are still happy with it.)

I purchased this on 2020, after a couple of months use the keyboard broke down. Probably a hardware problem, because I can use a different keyboard through the USB port.

S mode sounds nice, because of supposedly well designed with integrated software. However, you are limited to only Microsoft products. So, I tried to exit S mode and it did not work. Tried, again, and again. So, I sent it back. No computer company is going to tell me what software I can use, or cant use.

I bought the Acer Aspire 5 Slim laptop on Prime Day for $270. The laptop is equipped with 4GB of RAM and Windows 10 S mode. It worked fine, but I upgraded it with an additional 8GB of RAM and converted it to regular Windows 10.

Great laptop

I needed to get my mom an inexpensive laptop that would be easy for her to use and one that I could work with remotely when she needs help.

I ordered this on a one-day Flash Sale, and I had the choice of Intel or AMD, NVidia, Intel UHD or Vega3 graphics.

This is a nice basic laptop that is great for home use! We don’t do any gaming or anything that would require more power, we mostly just surf the internet, take some online classes, and create a spreadsheet now and then. This laptop is great for us! It is easy to use, and is plenty fast for our needs. The keyboard is very low, you have to press the keys down because they are almost flat against each other.

Excellent. Use for my business writing, presentation, writing poetry and recording my poems. Excellent upgrade from my old poetry far more easier and advance.
