> 3 dayWriting a novel while suffering from migraine is enough of a struggle, without flickering screens. This is amazingly better than the one it replaced. My other computer is for internet or a movie; this one is for writing and editing (the most hours). It was advertised as a gaming monitor. Refresh rates are vital for any task involving screen time... even hunt & peck typing.

Greater than one weekThis is a good basic monitor if you are going to use it for your office. I would not recommend it for gaming though.

> 3 dayI bought this Monitor Dec 13, 2015 and am still using it on my main daily computer and its working great! Its sturdy. I do play video games but not on PC so I dont know if this would be good for gaming? It displays the little arcade type games I do play, very nicely. Ive had no problems or issues with this Monitor & am pleased with it

> 3 dayI purchased this monitor to replace an HP 23 bw monitor that has developed LCD panel issues like horizontal reddish lines on the right side of the screen and image burn-in. That monitor was a 1080p IPS LED backlit monitor just like this one, but is a 23 inch monitor instead of a 24 inch monitor like this one is. This monitor handles anything thats thrown at it very well. Doesnt matter if its a movie, an old TV program, games, photos, or graphics. Im very impressed with its picture quality. I tested the Overdrive settings on both Normal and Extreme and found out it only results in annoying colored motion blur artifacts called inverse ghosting on the edges of every object in a game for instance. I found that it is best to turn off Overdrive and that when it is off, motion blur is really only noticeable when you specifically look for it and it doesnt get any worse as you turn down the brightness setting, even down to zero. The one negative about this monitor is the on-screen menu. It isnt as user-friendly as on the other monitors I own, but I know it will become easier to use as I start to get used to how it works. I only had to do some fiddling with the presets to set it to the User presets and tweak the color controls slightly to get the best picture quality. I feel that a less than ideal on-screen menu isnt enough to take a star away. It is possibly the best deal for a monitor on the market right now given that this monitor is on sale for $130. You dont see many IPS displays that perform well in this price range. Id recommend this monitor to anyone who needs a 1080p monitor that performs well.

> 3 dayI bought a pair to use with my work laptop. Picture is very clear and vibrant. Much better than I was expecting for the price. Do note these don’t have an adjustable stand, one of the reasons for the great price.

> 3 dayI bought this monitor to replace an old Viewsonic model that had fallen off my desk and cracked. This screen is pretty good, it is rated for 60Hz but has no problem overclocking to 75Hz which is where I keep mine. It has very thin bezels --so thin in fact that I can no longer mount my webcam to the top of it as it hangs down into the picture space. One thing I am a bit unhappy about, and other reviewers noted, the whites on this screen are a tad on the yellow side compared to my old Viewsonic. It bothered me more at first but I think Ive gotten used to it and it looks fine to me now. The base for this monitor is pretty grippy too and the whole assembly is really light. Ive always been pretty happy with the value that Acer brings to the tech. world and this monitor is really no different. I am using this screen with one of Acers desktops and it seems a good pairing thus far. I run mine with an HDMI cable but one is not included in the box, just a VGA.
