> 3 day4.5/5 Stars. Bought this on 09/04/2016. I was using a 21 TN Monitor before this. My use case is pretty general. I do some design work on the side at times, no gaming or anything. The setting I use during the day is Standard, but I turned off the blue light setting and set OSD to 0. At night, I use a custom setting -- the same as my Standard one, but the brightness is set to 10. I also use f.lux (warms up the color of your display to match your room at night) which I highly recommend if you are looking at your screen for as long as I do. PROS: - For the price, this monitor was far better than I expected. - The screen size is an upgrade from a laptop and 21 monitor. Not sure if I can go back to a very clunky bezel for long-term use now. - Colors are good. No dead pixels. No ghosting. - The non-glossy screen is exactly what I hoped for. - The power brick -- its pretty small compared to some Ive seen other screens come with. - Very lightweight. Easy to put together without any issues. CONS: - It is very wobbly and easy to tip simply by pressing the power button. That is the cost of having it be lightweight, I suppose. I can see it being knocked over very easily, so I do not recommend placing it anywhere too precarious. Definitely not near children or nosy pets unless it is weighted down solidly. - Man, it is BRIGHT. At times, this is really helpful for certain things. If you are a hermit like me that enjoys sitting in the dark, well -- youll have to adjust to that a bit. - The settings are difficult to navigate through. There is no way to tell the difference between exit/back, up/down, forward, and power on/off. Even after a year, I still accidentally hit the wrong button here or there sometimes. I put small piece of tape on the power button so I can feel the difference. OVERALL: I think this is a really good monitor to start with and I am happy with it.

28-10-2024I bought a pair to use with my work laptop. Picture is very clear and vibrant. Much better than I was expecting for the price. Do note these don’t have an adjustable stand, one of the reasons for the great price.

> 3 dayI’ve been using this monitor for the past year without issues and think it is a great product for the price. I work from home so I am a heavy user of my monitor. My old monitor was beginning to flicker all of the time which led me down a research rabbit hole and ultimately deciding between this Acer model and an HP. I opted to go Acer because it was slightly cheaper. I could not be more pleased. Connections: there are numerous ports that connect to different cords so it is a breeze to switch from my laptop to my husband’s laptop and our Chromebook. My laptop is 99% attached. Colors and clarity: my old monitor was old and small and pixel-y so anything was a step up. I had lower expectations for this monitor given the price and really just needed something that did not flicker. The first day I plugged my laptop in I was amazed by the colors and the clarity of everything. The Microsoft lock screen that swaps new stock pictures daily is absolutely gorgeous. My eyes do better when looking at Excels too. Size: I went with the 23.8 bc I did not want to get something obnoxiously large. I almost regret not getting the 27 bc the monitor is so light and thin. The 23.8 is nowhere near overwhelming and definitely is a great everyday size that blends into a workspace, but don’t be afraid to go big. Reliability: I have been using this exactly a year and the monitor has had no issues. It’s been great. I highly recommend this monitor for anyone looking for a great monitor that is thin and light at a great price.

> 3 dayThis is one of many Acer monitors I have purchased over the years. I never cease to be amazed at the brilliance and clarity that Acer delivers for the price. The monitor itself comes packaged very nicely in full wrap styrofoam with a screen protecting layer sheet wrapped around the monitor itself. When you take it out, it weighs practically nothing, and at first you thing Ehhh on the quality. But the nice thing is that the whole front of the monitor is all screen with a very very thin black frame. Dont let the light weight fool you, this monitor is no joke amazing. The base takes a bit of practice to put together. The bottom round portion is quite thick, metal, and sturdy with a heavy duty plastic arm that offsets the monitor. After it is put together its very customizable in angle and position. Its a little tricky to make sure the monitor really clicks in to the arm that supports it. If you have to take it back apart for any reason, just be aware there are little push points you have to depress to get the stand pieces back apart. That was the only time I thought of the arm as cheap because I thought it would break was in trying to take it back apart to pack away. But it proved to be very strong and I was impressed. When it is all done, its very minimalist looking and a nice addition to the office. I am very pleased and I would purchase over and over again.

Greater than one weekI bought this monitor to replace an old Viewsonic model that had fallen off my desk and cracked. This screen is pretty good, it is rated for 60Hz but has no problem overclocking to 75Hz which is where I keep mine. It has very thin bezels --so thin in fact that I can no longer mount my webcam to the top of it as it hangs down into the picture space. One thing I am a bit unhappy about, and other reviewers noted, the whites on this screen are a tad on the yellow side compared to my old Viewsonic. It bothered me more at first but I think Ive gotten used to it and it looks fine to me now. The base for this monitor is pretty grippy too and the whole assembly is really light. Ive always been pretty happy with the value that Acer brings to the tech. world and this monitor is really no different. I am using this screen with one of Acers desktops and it seems a good pairing thus far. I run mine with an HDMI cable but one is not included in the box, just a VGA.

Greater than one weekAdded to my laptop for work purposes at home and it rocks. Exactly as described. Nothing complicated about setup. Using Windows 11 if that means anything. And, the HDMI means that streaming Prime Video looks spectacular. If my laptop had a second HDMI port, I’d quickly buy another.

> 3 dayI cannot give a complete review because the box did not have HDMI cables for the application I purchased it for. I did read other reviews before buying. Some reviews said they got HDMI cables in the box, others said they did not. I can confirm-YOU DO NOT GET HDMI CABLES WITH THIS MONITOR-BUY HDMI CABLES IF YOU NEED THEM. There, debate settled. I will add to my review as I learn more. At this point based on how it was packaged, I’ll give it 4 stars tentatively….. more to follow.
