I purchased this monitor to replace an HP 23 bw monitor that has developed LCD panel issues like horizontal reddish lines on the right side of the screen and image burn-in. That monitor was a 1080p IPS LED backlit monitor just like this one, but is a 23 inch monitor instead of a 24 inch monitor like this one is. This monitor handles anything thats thrown at it very well. Doesnt matter if its a movie, an old TV program, games, photos, or graphics. Im very impressed with its picture quality. I tested the Overdrive settings on both Normal and Extreme and found out it only results in annoying colored motion blur artifacts called inverse ghosting on the edges of every object in a game for instance. I found that it is best to turn off Overdrive and that when it is off, motion blur is really only noticeable when you specifically look for it and it doesnt get any worse as you turn down the brightness setting, even down to zero. The one negative about this monitor is the on-screen menu. It isnt as user-friendly as on the other monitors I own, but I know it will become easier to use as I start to get used to how it works. I only had to do some fiddling with the presets to set it to the User presets and tweak the color controls slightly to get the best picture quality. I feel that a less than ideal on-screen menu isnt enough to take a star away. It is possibly the best deal for a monitor on the market right now given that this monitor is on sale for $130. You dont see many IPS displays that perform well in this price range. Id recommend this monitor to anyone who needs a 1080p monitor that performs well.

I cannot speak for gaming, but for a home office I think these are great! My only complaint is they did not come with the hdmi cables.

First the pluses: Ive only had this one day, but it seems pretty good for general home office purposes. Its bright (had to turn contrast and brightness down quite a bit for comfort), text is clear and easily readable. Color looks reasonably good to me right out of the box, which is a good thing as I cant immediately see a way to fine-tune colors in Standard mode. There may be a touch more green than I would like in skin tones. I also really like that this monitor has both HDMI and DVI inputs. This was one of the few monitors I could find in this size & price range that still had a DVI connector, which I need with my older video card. As to minuses: My biggest concern, is that black and dark colors get washed out more than I expected, especially if my eye level level is near the top of the screen (or higher). If I elevate the monitor so my eye level is near the bottom of the screen, the contrast and black level improves a lot...but then Im looking up at it. And the stand has no built-in height adjustment. Similarly, if my eye/head position is lined up with the left side of the screen, the black levels on the right side get washed out. So, it seems to me that this monitor, despite being IPS, is still quite sensitive to viewing angles/position. Not so much with bright colors fading out, but with the black levels rising to hazy gray. The control buttons are small and unlabeled (and on the bottom side of the bezel). Its easy to hit the wrong one when trying to make an adjustment or work through the menus. (Its ridiculous that manufacturers dont label or mark the controls, functionality should always take priority over style.) But, for a nearly 24 screen at this price, maybe I ask too much. It seems like not that long ago, a 17-19 CRT was considered a large monitor and typically would cost $300 USD or more.

I bought two of these monitors. For a 60HZ, this monitor is fairly priced, has free sync, decent picture quality, and sturdy stand. love them.

4.5/5 Stars. Bought this on 09/04/2016. I was using a 21 TN Monitor before this. My use case is pretty general. I do some design work on the side at times, no gaming or anything. The setting I use during the day is Standard, but I turned off the blue light setting and set OSD to 0. At night, I use a custom setting -- the same as my Standard one, but the brightness is set to 10. I also use f.lux (warms up the color of your display to match your room at night) which I highly recommend if you are looking at your screen for as long as I do. PROS: - For the price, this monitor was far better than I expected. - The screen size is an upgrade from a laptop and 21 monitor. Not sure if I can go back to a very clunky bezel for long-term use now. - Colors are good. No dead pixels. No ghosting. - The non-glossy screen is exactly what I hoped for. - The power brick -- its pretty small compared to some Ive seen other screens come with. - Very lightweight. Easy to put together without any issues. CONS: - It is very wobbly and easy to tip simply by pressing the power button. That is the cost of having it be lightweight, I suppose. I can see it being knocked over very easily, so I do not recommend placing it anywhere too precarious. Definitely not near children or nosy pets unless it is weighted down solidly. - Man, it is BRIGHT. At times, this is really helpful for certain things. If you are a hermit like me that enjoys sitting in the dark, well -- youll have to adjust to that a bit. - The settings are difficult to navigate through. There is no way to tell the difference between exit/back, up/down, forward, and power on/off. Even after a year, I still accidentally hit the wrong button here or there sometimes. I put small piece of tape on the power button so I can feel the difference. OVERALL: I think this is a really good monitor to start with and I am happy with it.

Very nice quality for the money and works great. I made the mistake of not checking to see if it had a mounting plate on the back so I could attach to dual monitor stand and it does not have that. I swapped it with my husbands monitor that had the back plate and he is very happy with this monitor so it all worked well.

Monitor arrived on time, was packed beautifully, hooked up in minutes, took about 10 seconds to modify its own settings to the PC and is performing perfectly.

Needed a cheap, compact monitor to bring back and forth to college and not be too worried about. I was using my TV as a monitor prior to purchasing this, and its night and day compared to the TV (obviously). This monitor is extremely thin, and has a really slick, edge-less design. The colors of this monitor are amazing, better than anything Ive used before. I guess thats what you get with an IPS monitor. I am running a GTX 1070 so this monitor is a bit low-end in comparison to the card, but it is working great for application. The screen really is the most vivid and beautiful screen Ive ever used. Even the 60Hz refresh rate is amazing, because I am used to gaming on an xbone with cinematic 30-fps. I feel like for the price, there is no better option. Once I am out of college, I will upgrade to a 1440p IPS paired with a 144Hz TN monitor, but for a college student this is more than sufficient. Some minor things I dont like about the monitor: -The external power brick is annoying. I would rather have it built into the monitor and have the monitor be a bit thicker. -The stand isnt the greatest design. It is not convenient to remove either. -Buttons are hard to push. In combination with the less than great stand, pushing the power button causes the whole monitor to tip and usually it rotates or moves when I do this. Not the end of the world, but it is annoying to have to hold the monitor down when pushing the power button. But even with these few reservations, I think this monitor deserves a 5-star rating simply because of the performance and quality you get for the money. I paid around $120 for this monitor which feels like a great deal for what I got. The screen itself, like I said, is amazing, vivid and clear. 10/10 would buy again.
