Greater than one weekI got this to replace a second smaller screen, and it sits side by side with my older Acer screen. i am amazed at the brightness and clarity. I now need to purchase a second to match as there is such a difference.

> 3 dayI bought a pair to use with my work laptop. Picture is very clear and vibrant. Much better than I was expecting for the price. Do note these don’t have an adjustable stand, one of the reasons for the great price.

> 3 dayBought two of these to set up an office at my gfs house. Extremely pleased! Easy set up with the bases, nice thin bezel, great, sharp picture. Easily compatible with my Dell monitors of the same size. I worked all week with them and I do a lot of graphic and design work, they were fantastic. Havent played any games on them, but would highly recommend these.

Greater than one weekVery nice quality for the money and works great. I made the mistake of not checking to see if it had a mounting plate on the back so I could attach to dual monitor stand and it does not have that. I swapped it with my husbands monitor that had the back plate and he is very happy with this monitor so it all worked well.

> 3 dayWriting a novel while suffering from migraine is enough of a struggle, without flickering screens. This is amazingly better than the one it replaced. My other computer is for internet or a movie; this one is for writing and editing (the most hours). It was advertised as a gaming monitor. Refresh rates are vital for any task involving screen time... even hunt & peck typing.

> 3 dayI figured I would wait awhile before making this review. Its for the 23.8 inch R240HY bidx I feel I should mention the size because Amazon has this completely stupid policy now of merging reviews for what they think are similar products, so you never know if youre reading the review for the product you actually are researching, or the larger or smaller model with may or may not be similar in reality. In my opinion this monitor has good color quality, blacks are black enough, it can be tuned to be not too bright/blue (although most people seem to love screens as bright and blue as technically feasible). Its great for gaming, the screen looks larger than it is because the bezel is small. Its very thin. No dead pixels (my last 1080p Acer had one stuck red pixel, this was ages ago though). I have hopes it will last longer than my last one because of the LED backlighting. Main complaint is ghosting or trailing when scrolling on websites with dark font and colors that arent white. Theres a site I visit more often than others, and when scrolling the text ghosts pretty bad, its black text on a kind of blue/grey background and the ghosting is basically negative, as in it ghosts light almost white under the black text when scrolling. Hard to explain I suppose but even a literally ancient HP LCD monitor I have from Windows Vista era does not do this. Really griping I suppose and if you want consider this a five star review. I just dont give five stars unless I have no complaints. Acer is always a great value brand if youre willing to consider it might not last forever. Great specs and features for the price as always VESA mount would also be nice, if just so that I could get a second of exact same model for portrait use as a second monitor

> 3 dayI bought this monitor to replace an old Viewsonic model that had fallen off my desk and cracked. This screen is pretty good, it is rated for 60Hz but has no problem overclocking to 75Hz which is where I keep mine. It has very thin bezels --so thin in fact that I can no longer mount my webcam to the top of it as it hangs down into the picture space. One thing I am a bit unhappy about, and other reviewers noted, the whites on this screen are a tad on the yellow side compared to my old Viewsonic. It bothered me more at first but I think Ive gotten used to it and it looks fine to me now. The base for this monitor is pretty grippy too and the whole assembly is really light. Ive always been pretty happy with the value that Acer brings to the tech. world and this monitor is really no different. I am using this screen with one of Acers desktops and it seems a good pairing thus far. I run mine with an HDMI cable but one is not included in the box, just a VGA.

> 3 dayI picked this up for my new Asus ROG Oculus Rift system. I knew Id want something for others to see what the person in the Rift was viewing, as well as a way to use the computer outside of the Rift. I took a star off of it for how the inputs in the back of this come out at a right angle to the screen - meaning it has to stick out a way from a wall, you cant snug it up close to that or a cubicle wall. Also, supposedly there are speakers, but since I use this for an Oculus Rift, and that requires the HDMI port on my GT980 video card, I cant use an input that includes audio. And there is no Aux input to use a 1/8 stereo plug to connect it to the sound card. Other than that, I like it. Powers on pretty quickly, the base doesnt use much space, and the picture is really bright, really crisp, without having to be in torch mode to achieve it. I love the colors and the clarity. For the price, its worth it.

> 3 dayBest monitor for the money. Excellent viewing angles (178 degrees), sharp text, and vivid colors. Has a very sturdy base that the monitor sits on. All in all, a very good monitor for general use. I dont play video games. So the rating for gaming does not really apply to my use of this monitor. I also like the easy access to the buttons that control the monitor.
