> 3 dayThe product is good, its 1095. No cracks or scratches on it. 1095 forges easily and is good steel, thats about all I can say, as it just a billet.

> 3 dayYoud be a fool to buy mild steel bar at this price. Go to your local custom fab / industrial fab shop and pull steel out of their bin. Youll get stainless, aluminum, and mild, and toss a 40 to the boss man for metal that wouldve cost you 200 + for.

> 3 daySome sections of this steel I was easily able to cut with my band saw. Other areas, the blade wouldnt even scratch it. Even with a new blade. If youre making knives with it, you should already be equipped to get the steel into a soft state.

Greater than one weekThe blanks I received were well packaged and look good. Today I tried to cut one to make an iron for a wooden hand plane. The steel I received was not annealed and was not workable. Im very disappointed.
