> 3 dayTo be honest I was skeptical. I thought for the price I couldnt go wrong. With the ability to return it if I didnt like it I decided to pull the trigger and bought 5 1.5x.12 bars. They were packaged just like described. The bars were exact, flat, and straight. I did a spark test and it was no doubt high carbon steel. Its made in China, but so is everything else. I turned those bullets into knife blanks. It took some work to surface grind the blanks to true them up, but not bad. Im looking forward to beveling and finishing these knives. I will be buying more of this steel.

> 3 dayused a zip wheel to cut this steel because the bandsaw wouldnt touch it. now i have completed blanks that a drill bit wont touch !! what a waste of time and money.

> 3 daySome sections of this steel I was easily able to cut with my band saw. Other areas, the blade wouldnt even scratch it. Even with a new blade. If youre making knives with it, you should already be equipped to get the steel into a soft state.

> 3 dayYoud be a fool to buy mild steel bar at this price. Go to your local custom fab / industrial fab shop and pull steel out of their bin. Youll get stainless, aluminum, and mild, and toss a 40 to the boss man for metal that wouldve cost you 200 + for.

> 3 dayThe steel was to be annealed and it was not. When I tried to cut it,It completely ruined my bandsaw blade .Plus the steel was warped to begin with. Now i have steel I cant use and Im out a bandsaw blade because the description was a lie!!

> 3 dayIve made a couple blades from this steel. Its shipped untempered, so its very soft and malleable. Very good for grinding and shaping. Once its tempered, the blades hold an edge very well. I will definitely buy this again. Its top notch.

> 3 dayNot annealed. File skates and can’t cut it. Pretty much worthless to me.
