I buy a lot of steel This is good stuff for medium and small knives Likes the forge and hold an edge.

Not annealed at all, to hard for anything in my shop to cut, very disappointing Editing this from one star to four because after I left this review, without reaching out to the seller. They messaged directly to help me with my issue, answered all my questions and gave advice on annealing the steel on my own, but on top of that they also gave a full refund for the product. Top notch customer service from this seller. Would recommend

It was ok. It was pretty flimsy. Im no Ahnuld, but I was able to bend it by hand and its pretty thick steel. Worked for what I needed it for but glad I didnt buy it for automotive frame work or structural work.

Youd be a fool to buy mild steel bar at this price. Go to your local custom fab / industrial fab shop and pull steel out of their bin. Youll get stainless, aluminum, and mild, and toss a 40 to the boss man for metal that wouldve cost you 200 + for.

This was perfect for me, it cut well with an angle grinder and was packaged perfectly!
