Im sure this is fine steel but, as others have said, its NOT annealed. If you send your blades out to be heat treated, and dont have the means to get this hot enough to anneal it, you will have problems. EDIT: The seller contacted me and offered a full refund, was very nice. I had already sent the steel back, but they were quick to reach out after my review, so I wanted to let everyone know. If you can anneal this, it was straight, clean steel.

Couldnt cut this steel with anything, after reading reviews that other ppl said that the steel is not annealed like advertised. i now assume that the steel i was sent is also not annealed. frustrating because i do not have a forge (yet) to anneal myself.
