> 3 dayRight out of the box, the screw base was off center (see photo). The black is not part of the ceramic but a cheap looking coating that is scuffed in several places (see photo). As I know improperly assembled heating elements are a fire hazard, I plugged one of the heaters in to keep a close eye on it - it immediately started giving off a burning smell. I shut it down and will be returning the purchase. Do not purchase this item - even if my experience was a fluke, the risk of a fire from a faulty heat emitter is too high to gamble.

> 3 dayThis is the best heat you can use at night. The smaller 100w - 150w are good for my 10 - 40 gal terrariums. I have two 64gal that I needed two lamps on so I purchased the 250w and I will see how that works in the next week or so. All my terrariums have screened tops and two of them need to stay in the area of 95 - 100 degrees so I am moving them up to the 250w.

> 3 dayThe light worked great...for 5 days and then it just quit putting off heat. Very disappointed. I am using the 2nd one now. It is possible we got a bad bulb but I would have gladly paid more for 1 light if it lasts longer than 5 days.
