I replaced my MacBook Airs OEM 500 GB Samsung with this 1TB WD version. You just have to use an adapter (many brands to choose from). I used the M.2 NVME SSD Convert Adapter Card found here on Amazon. So much cheaper than Samsung, Apple or OWC.

NOTE: Please make sure your motherboard is Nvme compatible even if it has a M.2 port on it. I have a Asus H97 Gamer Pro motherboard which supports a M.2 socket. However, it didnt support Nvme until I did a BIOS update. If your MB is not compatible to Nvme even after BIOS updates then this drive can only be used as storage and not a bootable drive (meaning your windows cant be run on this) which evicerates the SSDs purpose.
