Installed into a new build with a Z690 motherboard very fast

One of the most simplest things to ever do. push down then up on the ps5 cover, take out screw, put the drive in, put screw back and cover. All you have to do is turn on ps5 and itll prompt you to activate the drive. Thats all of 5 minutes. And the drive itself is super fast, all my games run smooth. Just make sure you go to settings and set all your downloaded games to the new drive itll save you alot of headaches.

I bought a new gaming laptop and can say that the stock SSD storage of 1Tb was too small for me so I decided I would spend $500 for 2 SN850s for my main storage with my OS and a second when it’s full and wow I’m thankful I did! This drive, unlike PCI-E dives, needs an M3 screw to install it. It is not included. it is the only screw that can install it and for $160 youd think theyd include it. If youre in a big IT department, theres a chance you have M3 screws laying around, but otherwise have fun sourcing a single M3 screw. Hardware stores near me dont carry it so its a lot easier to just return the drive and buy something different than it is for me to source that screw in a pack of 100 and pay for 99 that I dont need. The support and warranty was printed in something like size 2 font. At least 50% of people will need a magnifying glass to read it. No install instructions. The paperwork says its meant for professional installation and thats why it does not include any instructions. Not sure when they became such elitists but I guess since I am not a professional this is the last WD product Ill ever buy.

Ill let other people handle the benchmarking. All Ill say is that with a great processor and fast DDR5 memory, my boot and app performance is FAST. Im quite pleased with this as my boot drive.

Product works and installs easily. Came with heatsink already installed. Advertised read speed is up to 7300mbs my PS5 Detected 6352mbs upon format.

Recently I saw the star wars game size revealed at 155GB, I knew my PS5 memory was too little with the amount of games I purchase. Got it for $299 and it’s the best price I’ve seen for something that large.

Si se nota la diferencia cuando pasas de un disco duro mecánico a un M2, porque la diferencia es de mas de 15 veces la velocidad, sin embargo si ya tienes un M2 y pasas a otro solo es 1 o dos veces mas rápido, que en realidad casi ni se nota, Ya tenia un M2 con velocidades de 2500 Mb/s, y al cambiar a este como que si es mas rápido pero apenas mas rápido, por esto ahora pienso que debí esperar a nuevas generaciones, si es tu caso no lo compres.

This ssd runs fast no lagging at all plenty of space. No over heating.
