Viewsonics CRTs used to be the best that money could buy. This is the first time Ive bought a viewsonic since they moved to LCD, and I wasnt disappointed. I decided to give them a try again after seeing them used in speedrunning events like GDQ and hearing some of the runners talk about how good they were. I bought this as a second monitor for work so that I could have a vertical monitor next to my normal monitor. Despite being 1080p, the color and picture quality on this is so good that it made my other two monitors look like crap sitting next to it, no joke. Despite its small size and low resolution, this thing has absolutely spectacular image quality. I actually had to turn down some of the settings so that it blended in better because the higher quality was a distraction next to my other monitors. Buying this makes me really want to replace my main monitor with a 4k viewsonic, even this smaller 1080p monitor already outshines my giant 4k monitor. I cant imagine how much better the 4k version would be. Viewsonic used to be known for producing exceptionally high quality CRT monitors, and Im glad to see that theyre still producing the best monitors that money could buy. After buying this, the next time I replace my main monitor, its going to be with a viewsonic. If youre in the market for a small simple second monitor like I was, this thing is simply amazing. You really have to see the image and color quality on this thing, its unreal. But if youre looking for a main monitor, Id definitely recommend going with the larger 4k viewsonic. Thats what Id like eventually for my main monitor after seeing how good this one is. Highly recommended.

Have been working at home since March, and wanted to upgrade to a 34 inch ultra wide monitor. Have had this monitor for a month now. What I like about this monitor: Its ultra wide, so I can have two split screens, and see everything clearly. I can easily adjust the monitor to go up and down. I like this feature a lot. It is not a glossy screen. My last monitor has a glossy finish, and since there are windows behind my desk, anytime its sunny, there is a huge glare. No more glare! The built in speakers are great and very loud and clear. What I dont like about this monitor: Its not curved. Since it is 34 inches, it took my eyes a few days to get adjusted to looking at the ultra wide size. I kind of wish I had gotten a curved monitor. But now I am used to it. The power cord where it plugs into the monitor is a bit touchy. Sometimes when I move the monitor, or move the laptop or a cable behind the monitor, the screen goes black. I just reach around and touch the plug and the screen comes back on. Just a minor nuisance. Overall its good monitor and I like it a lot. However, if I could do it over again and buy another monitor, I would probably buy a curved monitor.

Picture quality and ease of set-up were excellent.Very impressed with this monitor. Only issue i have is switching between two input sources. It is used for my wife’s desktop and with my work laptop. Unable to get to switch between the two. Every time i tell it to change, it reverts back to the original input. I had to completely unhook my laptop in order to get it to change back to the desktop unit. Other than this, it would be a 5.

Im not very tech savvy , but I get by. I had no trouble at all assembling the stand to the base and the monitor to the stand. No tools required, it all just snaps/clicks together. This monitor is bright and sharp for both text on the screen and photos or browser windows. Not one broken pixel. Everything is perfect right out of the box. I had to provide an HDMI cable, which was not included. Adjustments for height and viewing angles are very flexible and easy and it makes it really quick to get comfortable in front of this monitor and be productive without a lot of fuss. Speakers built in are weak and tinny, but I use external speakers, so this was not a deal breaker. Dont expect great sound from this otherwise terrific monitor. Overall I think this screen is the perfect size for home use, superbly featured and priced with great value for all it has to offer. I know I will get years of crisp, clear images and easy adjustment with my VG 2248.

I dont think the colors and contrast are as nice as the older monitor this replaced. For an affordable, feature rich monitor of this format I find it very acceptable. Maybe not the best choice for photo editing. Easy to set up and figure out. The sound from the speakers is weak. Matte screen finish. The stand is one of its standout features. It has a pivoting turntable in the base and the vertical adjustment is smooth, requiring little effort. The screen also turns to a vertical orientation in either direction.

This monitor has excellent build quality, a nice image, and every feature you could want. -Great inputs - DP, HDMI, and VGA -Fully-adjustable stand. Can tilt, rotate, and height-adjust. -IPS panel which is good for general computing tasks. Gamers might prefer a panel with lower response time though. -Image quality is excellent. Sharp text and nice colors. -Integrated speakers for convenience. Sound quality is mediocre like almost all monitor speakers. -Build quality is very good. The casing is solid and not creaky. Minimal flex when you pull-and-tug on the monitor. -Finish is a matte, textured black that wont pick up fingerprints. Bezels are thin. -Hard buttons which are very easy to use. Much better than unreliable touch-sensitive buttons. -2x USB 3.0 available on the left of the monitor. The new version includes a USB-C port.

Bought this for my brother-in-law as anniversary gift. Absolutely loved it. Easy to install, great picture quality.

so far so good. What I like about this monitor is the depth. The colors are very good. I have mine in portrait mode.

I get 60hz on Mac or PC. Regardless of port or cable types. It ok.
